TWO DAYS AFTER THE FIGHT
"Camille hasn't come out of her cave for two days," said a female caretaker.
"Not even to fight Benedict?" asked another.
"Not even to fight Benedict," said Jonathan. "You know what we have to do. After all, it has come this far. We have to tell her and the others."TWO MINUTES LATER
"One, two, three, four, five, si-" said Jonathan. "Camille didn't answer the summons. I will go get her." Jonathan walked towards the cave marked 'Camille' in red ink on a wooden sign. When he went in, he saw Camille. She looked small, hungry, and had bloodshot eyes. "Camille-"
"Go away," she said.
"Camille, we have something important to tell you."
"I don't want to hear anything from her," she said
"It's about your past." Camille stood up, and walked out of the cave. She sat down next to her fellow Hidden and crossed her arms.
"What did you want to talk about?" asked Ella.
"We are all about to give you information on Camille's past." Jonathan began to retell the fateful day...A younger Jonathan paced back and fourth, wondering what to do. " Oliver is 18 now, no longer a child. What do we do? She shouldn't have to stay here."
"I have an idea." said a young male caretaker.
"What is this idea, Fafnir?" asked Jonathan.
"We could train her for one more full year, all about the world. Then we let her go." A scream was heard from a cave marked 'Oliver' by green paint on a wooden sign. Jonathan, Fafnir, and the other caretakers all ran into the cave. Oliver was staring at a strange rift in her cave wall. That's when a basket flew out of the rift. Before they looked at it, a wall of flame appeared in the rift, and almost flew in, but the rift closed just in time. Oliver kneeled down to open the basket. When she lifted the lid, she heard giggling. Inside of the basket was a small girl about the age of one. She had golden brown hair, and a smile that could kill. Then, Oliver noticed the black corroded wings sprouting from her back.
"WHAT IS SHE!" yelled Oliver. "THE EMPIRE WOULD KILL US IF THEY FOUND WE WERE HIDING A WINGED BABY!" Jonathan stepped forward. He took out a small purple stick from his belt. He touched both wings with the stick, and as he put the stick away, the wings dissolved.
"We will protect her. Every creature deserves life, even winged children." said Fafnir. "Whoever sent her would be glad to know she has been found."
