Chapter 4 // The Devil

"It's her." he said, "The one we were looking for." he put his gun to her head. "Code name, Demon."

I looked at her for a moment and understood her nickname. Her hair was short and grey with two little flicks peaking up like Devil horns. Her outfit was brown and red, it kind of looked like a school uniform. Weird. She must have been about our age, but why was she wearing a school uniform on a Sunday?

"Kill me." she choked up, "Lose out on everything I know."

The agents retracted their guns and looked at Budo.

"P-Panther?" I asked, confused.
"I started it, so I have to decide how to end it." he whispered in my ear. It made my spine tingle. "Don't tell me you're shivering from me whispering in your ear?" he smirked.
"The mission, Panther." I reminded him.
"Oh, right."

Budo walked over to Demon and aimed his gun at her.

"So you just want me to kill you?" he asked the girl.
"D-Do it."
"Okay." he loaded his gun.
"W-Wait!"
"Heh. This is the almighty Demon?" he laughed, "Put your hands behind your back."
"No, fuck you. Just kill me."

Budo once again adjusted his gun, making her flinch.

"Someone take this pussy back to the boss." he rolled his eyes, still with his gun to her. "Now!"

"S-Sorry boss." about 3-4 agents grabbed the girl and put her in handcuffs, leading her away. I ran over to Budo and whispered to him once again.
"You're their boss?"
"Affirmative Miss Aishi." he whispered so that his breath hit my neck.
"Ugh stop doing that Budo." I shivered.
"You know you love it." he winked.

"Panther, here. You too Yandere." a higher up said.
"Yes sir?" Budo asked.
"How are you protecting her by bringing her here?"
"We had a run in with Nemesis, sir. It was dangerous to leave her alone."
"Mm.. I'll allow it." he sighed. "What happened?"
"I got a few hits on her sir. It is possible I took her out. There's not a scratch on Miss Aishi's pretty little ass, Sir."
"Good work."
"Thank you Sir." Budo bowed.
"You look a little confused, Miss Aishi." the boss turned to me. "You don't need to worry about who I am just yet; we'll meet again soon." he smiled.
"Yes sir."
"He hasn't come onto you has he?" the boss looked at Budo.
"Hey!"
"I'm joking." he laughed, "But I can tell by the way you look at her."
"Sir.." Budo looked angrily.
"Not to fear." he smirked, "She looks at you the same way."
"Oh now I'm interested."
"He talks very highly of you Miss Aishi."
"Dude stopppp." Budo began to blush, which made me laugh.
"My oh my, the almighty Panther is flustered?"
"Oh don't you start." Budo rolled his eyes.
"He always gets like this when he talks about you."
"He talks about me a lot?"
"All the time, constantly."
"Welp we're leaving, bye da- director." Budo grabbed my hand and pulled me off.
"Nice to meet you." I waved.

"Budo~" I sat on my bike.
"Stop looking at me like that. And don't say my name that way."
"Are you coming to my house?" I asked.
"Yes, Miss Aishi." he put on his helmet.
"Budo can we just-"
"Meet you there." he sped off.
"You're supposed to.." I sighed.

When I arrived at my house, Budo was nowhere to be seen. I unlocked my door and realised that he was sat on my couch.

"Afternoon Aishi."
"Good afternoon, Sunshine." I smiled, quoting him.
"Ugh don't say that. It's cringy." he rolled his eyes angrily.
"I think it's cute." I sighed, sitting next to him. "Well.. at least when you do it anyway."
"It's stupid." he sighed. "I'll stop calling you those dumb nicknames."
"Oh please don't."
"Huh?"
"I like them." I smiled.
"Hmm." he though, "Maybe it can't hurt every now and again.."
"That's the spirit!" I kissed him on the cheek. He immediately seemed to be in a better mood, "Ahh I do prefer when you sound like a cat poster." I hugged him and to my surprise he actually hugged back.
"Fear is just a reason to try harder." he smirked.
"That smirk is to die for." I sighed happily.
"Maybe it is working.." he continued to smirk cutely.
"Huh?"
"Oh.. nothing." he winked.
"Now this is my favourite Budo.." I blushed.
"Is that so?" he moved closer.
"Mhm."
"Ah I guess that makes you evil then."
"How?"
"For teasing me~" he whispered.
"Ooohh boy." I shivered, "Sure, I'm the one teasing you."
"The heart wants what the heart wants Miss Aishi."
"And what does your heart want?"

*Beep Beep Beep*

"Right now I want my fucking watch to stop interrupting me every time I try to-" he paused, "I try to.." he thought of an excuse, "Hang out with you."
"Hang out with me." I laughed, "Sure."

Budo checked his watch and groaned once again.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Buttercup."
"Can't you come visit me after the mission?"
"Not this time boo-berry." he grabbed his jacket, "Don't wait up, alright?"
"Fineee."
"Fine?" he asked.
"Fine."
"Good night, Princess." he kissed me on the forehead.
"Good night, Prince." I smiled.
"You're adorable when you smile." he laughed, grabbing his keys and opening the door.
"Ciao Bella~"
"Ciao Bello~"

Well, time to study I guess..
