Prologue

Never would I ever thought my life would turn a very drastic way. Never. If I did, I would have never dated Jack.

Jack Davichi.

It all started on a very bright, sunny day. Such a beautiful yet a day where hell would begin. The day, that is always and would be forever imprinted in my brain.

The day, where I got my first heartbreak.

"Cause if you like the way, you look that much oh, baby. You should go and love yourself..." I sang quietly as I knitted the sweater full of love. Yeah, I'm a very corny person.

Today was our 2nd month anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend. I was so excited that I decided to knit us two matching sweaters that says,

#EMACK

Our ship name.

I mean come one, every couple has to have a ship name. And plus, we're practically soulmates. I felt this attraction to him when I first laid eyes on him. That must be a sign.

And plus, we're perfect for each other. We even got crown Homecoming Queen and King last year. And the last year as well. There's a 100 percent chance that we'll also get crown this year too.

I just know it.

I love Jack and I'm pretty sure he loves me back. I mean, I always say it to him but he sometimes doesn't kinda say it back. But I totally get it. Love can get quite complicated. I'm sure he'll say it sooner or later.

Definitely.

I got everything planned for us already. We'll get married, have kids, and grow old and die together. Simple yet so perfect.

Too perfect to be real.

Many obstacles await us but nothing can tear out the love we have for each other. Things might get hard but love can overcome anything. I'm sure.

As I daydream about me and Jack, as I looked down I accidentally made he supposedly M to L.

L for love, I guess.

I was about to fix it when my doorbell rang.

Oh yeah. Jack was supposed to come to my house today. I excitedly went down and throw the door open, ready to embrace Jack with open arms.

Only to saw him in a very depressed state. His eyes drooped with exhaustion and his usual smile was replace with a grim. I dropped my arms, waiting for an explanation. Then opened my arms again only for him to step back.

"...Jack, you 'kay?" I questioned, thoughts racing in my head.

His parents?

Sister?

And that's when he said the words that shattered my heart and literally made me go on my knees.

"Em, I..I think we should break up."
