Unexpected (Gaara/Sasuke Love Story)

Chapter 15

Kolina's POV

I barely slept a wink last night. My mind just wouldn't shut up! I stayed up all night thinking about Naruto, wondering if he was safe.

Then Sasuke came to my head. I never want to tell him I have feelings for him, even if I did like him a little bit because he might treat me like he treats his fan girls. I don't even want to call him Sasuke-kun because it makes me sound like a fan girl. And I don't want to risk that because I know he doesn't like me at all. He just like teasing me. I know I have feelings for him, I hope it isn't obvious though. But then there's Gaara. They both makes me feel something I never felt before.

I decided to ignore myself, get out of bed and start looking for Naruto again.

"I'm sorry I'm leaving you again baby, but you know I'll always come back to you." I said to my bed sadly as I kissed my pillow.

I did my morning routine and wore my usual clothes. I went downstairs and took an banana as I slipped my brown combat boots on. I looked and looked for Naruto but I couldn't find him anywhere. Ugh, where could he be? 

I stopped and took a rest at a field, looking at the sky. I was close to falling asleep until a figure came and laid down next to me. I looked to my side saw Shikamaru. "You like watching clouds too, huh?" "Yeah, it's relaxing." I said as I looked back at the sky.

We talked until sundown, he made me stop worrying about Naruto for a little while. He's a cool person to talk to. It's like I could talk to him about anything. "You going home Kolina?" "No, I'll stay here for a little while." In my opinion I think watching stars is better than watching clouds. "Okay, well I got to go, goodnight." "Okay, bye Shikamaru!" 

I stayed for another 20 minutes before deciding to go home. While I was walking I saw 2 kitties in a box. One of them was white, gray and black, while the other was just all white. I couldn't help myself but stop dead on my tracks to pet them.

"I always wondered why you like cats so much." Omfg he scared me half to death. What is he doing here? I bet he was stalking me. I mean who wouldn't right? c: lmaojk. I glared at a smirking Sasuke as he sat down next to me, looking at the kitties. After a minute of thinking, I decided I could trust him.

"When I was younger, nobody was there for me, only cats were. I managed to speak to them somehow and understand what they say. We was going through the same thing. They understood me as I understood them." I said smiling as a tear rolled down my cheek. I paused to wipe it away then continued speaking. "They helped me when I was living in hell. Without them, I could've been dead for all I know. They taught me how to steal food, and how to ignore the pain. They were hurt more than I ever was. They was living in the streets from the beginning they was born. People would step on them, and even kicked them out of their way. But they just shrugged it off like it was nothing. That's why I admired them so much."

I looked back at Sasuke and he looked shocked. After a minute of silence he said, "I'm sorry." "No, it's okay, really. It's all in the past. I finally had enough courage to leave that place." I said trying to smile but fail miserably. I don't want Sasuke to pity me. It's not his fault. He don't need to say sorry.

"Well, I got to go, bye Sasugay! See you tomorrow!" I picked up the box and started walking home. I took both of them because why would I pick one? I don't want them to be separated from each other. Plus, it wouldn't be fair to the other. The thoughts of that broke my heart.

Suddenly, I felt weights lifted off my hands. I looked to see Sasuke holding the box. "Thank you.." I said blushing lightly as I looked down. "Hn.." We walked in comfortable silence until we was in front of my house. "Thanks for walking me home." I said smiling as I took the box out of his hands. "Hn." He smirked. And with that being said, he left.

I walked in and started to cut one part of the box to make it look like a bed. I folded a white fluffy blanket and put it in there. I took two bowls and added milk on one of it and tuna on the other one. Note to self : Buy cat food and liter box. For now I'll just use newspaper. "Pee on these okay?" I said to the kitties as I pointed to the newspapers. "Nya, nya!" They said okay happily as they started eating.

I think I should give them a name. Hmmmm.. I need a name for a boy and a girl... After 10 minutes, I finally thought of a name! The one with the gray, white, and black is Kyo and the one that's all white is Kiyomi! And they start with a K like my name! I'm so smart! I should get a job about naming things!!

"Your new name is Kyo." I said as I started scratching behind his ears. "And your new name is Kiyomi, kay?" I said smiling as I started petting her. "Nya!"

"After you guys are done eating, your gonna take a bath, got it?" They stopped eating and started rubbing themselves against my leg trying to make me change my mind. "Nope, nope nope, your taking a bath and that's final." I said as I backed away from them so they won't convince me.

After they was done eating, I turned the water to warm so it won't be too hot or cold for them. Once they was in the water, they was surprisingly calm. I put shampoo on their fur and washed it out. After they were done, I dried them up with a towel and put them to bed. Once they was asleep, I smile softly as I went to bed too. Tomorrow's the day I'll be in a team, I can't wait!
