Chapter 5

Kolina's POV

Two people came out from behind the bush. It was a girl was blonde hair and has a fan that is bigger than her behind her back, while there's a boy that has bad make-up and looks like a kitty. Awwwww I love kitty cats. Suddenly my body was moving on its own.

I ran straight to kitty cat boy and I started hugging him. "You're so cuteee. Aww!" I squealed. Once I finally controlled my body, I let go of him and he was looking at me from head to toes. "Hey there, hot stuff."

I got mad and punched him square in the face. I turned back to Gaara and saw him look completely scary. But hot. No Kolina! No time for thinking like that! I wonder what got him mad.

"Gaaraaaaaa-kun." I said trying to get his attention. He snapped out of glaring at that cat boy and looked at me. "Hm?" He said, sounding like I'm annoying him. "Nothing..." I said, trying to hide my sadness.

"Gaara, you never introduced me to this friend of yours." That blonde girl said to him. Oh no! That might be his girlfriend! I felt something burned inside of me. I didn't want to be rude and glare at her so I glared at the grass instead.

"Temari, Kankuro, this is Kolina, Kolina this is Temari and Kankuro, my siblings." That made me calm down. Thank goodness they're not boyfriend and girlfriend. Wait.. What am I saying?! Pfft!! I mean, I couldn't care less who he's dating.

"It's very nice to meet you." I said taking my hand out to shake Temari's. "You too." She said. "And I'm glad I met you" Kankuro said with a wink. Eww gross. "Disgusting." I said as I made an disgusted face.

I was about to knock him out but Temari beat me to it. "Sorry about our brother, he's a bit of a perv." "Yeah, I can tell." I said backing away from Kankuro. "Oh yeah, and what was you guys doing behind the bushes?" I asked.

"Um.. You know... Training?" She said coming out more like a question. "Well, I should be going now, again, it was really nice to meet you." She said dragging the knocked out body with her.

Me and Gaara was about to leave but I heard Temari called my name. "Yeah?!" I yelled. "Come here real quick." She yelled back. I went over to her and she whisper in my ear, "How did you do that?" I was about to ask do what but then I heard Gaara said, "Kolina hurry up, it's almost sun down." "Okay!!" I yelled. "Sorry Temari, got to go." "Okay bye, till next time." "Bye!" I ran to Gaara but tripped from a rock.

I shut my eyes tight preparing for pain until I felt something warm. I opened my eyes and saw that I was on top of Gaara.

Gaara blushed and so did I. I was about to get up but my hand slipped on his clothing and I fell back down and our lips touched.

And with that, me and Gaara turned redder if that was even possible. I got up quickly and said "Sorry! It was an accident." "It's okay." I held my hand out and pulled him up.

"Let's get walking." I said trying to make the atmosphere less awkward. And it worked. Because we started talking about random things again.

"Well, here we are. Thanks again for walking me home. I really appreciate it." I said smiling. "You're welcome." "Hey, do you want to come in, I'll make some tea for us." "No, it's okay." "Pleaseeee." I gave him the puppy eyes. He sighed and agreed. Yay!!

We went inside our house. Oh shit,  I meant my! MY house and made some tea. Once I was finished I saw Gaara sitting on the couch not knowing what to do. "Make yourself at home." I said while handing him a cup of tea. "Thank you." He said. "Don't mention it." "Really, thank you for everything." He said looking down at his tea.

I sat next to him and waited for him to continue what he was saying. "You're the first friend I ever had. Whenever someone looks at me, they quickly start running or stare at me with hate. When I was little, kids never wanted to play with me. So I'm really thankful that you're my friend." I could help but blush at that. This is the longest I ever heard him speak.

"You're welcome. I'm always here for you." I said and hugged him. He was shocked at first but a minute later he hugged back slightly. "You promise?" He asked. "I promised." We broke the hugged and went to the roof.

The moon was so shiny. As we was looking up at the sky, Gaara suddenly asked, "Do you like my brother?" I was stun. Why would he ask that out of no where. And why would I ever like that thing? Aside from the fact he looks like a kitty. I mentally shuddered. I didn't say anything so he started speaking again. "Sometimes I wish I was Kankuro. He had friends. People cared about him. He was loved.." He said the last part quietly but I heard him.

I regain from that stun attack and said, "No, I'll never like your brother in a million years." "Oh so you would like him after a million years?" he said playfully. "If you don't like Kankuro then who do you like?" He said as he wiggled his non-existing eyebrow. "Yawnnn. Oh look at the timeeee. Time for bed." I stood up while stretching.

I kept avoiding the question until he forgot what he asked in the first place. As he talked he then asked "How do being loved feels like?" "Honestly, I don't know. I loved my family but they didn't love me back. They just threw me away like I was nothing." The words came out of my mouth and I started to cry.

Soon I felt arms around me tightly and a hand soothing my back. "It's okay, I know how you feel." I put my head to his chest and cried freely. I never let anyone see me cry but when I'm with him, I feel safe.
