Once again. Something wrong was going to happen. Why? Because nothing bad has happened. That's how things are in Camelot. Something really big happens then nothing for weeks.

And nothing has really happened since the Unicorn. Well, Gwen's father got arrested but that was all sorted out and he was set free.

But, the good news is, Merlin and Arthur were back to being best friends once more. Right now the two of them were on a hunting trip, along with a group of other knights in the woods.

Merlin and Lancelot watched as Arthur set up the shot on a deer. Merlin smiled as her magic left her. A twig snapped from behind the deer and it ran.

"Every time!" He growled. Then he turned to Merlin, who had a pleasant smirk on her face.

"Your like a bad luck charm." He said making her smirk turn into a scowl.

"How am I bad luck? I just stood here. Like you told me to. It's not my fault you don't know how to be quiet." She said and almost lost her angry face, be she held back to smile.

Arthur turned around at the outrageous claim. "Me not stand still? How about, how you don't understand the importance of actually catching something." He said his face smiling for a second, but it quickly went away.

"Oh yeah?" Merlin asked and took a step forward.

"Yep." Arthur popped the 'p'. Suddenly the two were laughing.

From behind Merlin they both could hear growling. Arthur watched as Merlin's face went from smiling and happy to absolutely terrified.

"It's probably more scared of you than you are of it." Arthur reassured her. She nodded unconvinced as she heard another growl.

Arthur told half of the knights to go around and the other half to stay with him. Suddenly a beast with the head of a snake and the body of a leopard, jumped out at them. They all ran.

Merlin tripped on a branch and called out for Arthur. Arthur turned around and paled. The beast was over her, ready to strike.

Suddenly Lancelot ran from behind Arthur into the beast. Making it fall to its side. Then Lancelot picked her up bridal style and ran.

Arthur felt a ping of jealousy but it was quickly abolished when he realized that now was not the time and followed.

"Have we lost it?" Lancelot asked once they were a decent distance from where they were.

"Who's missing?" Arthur asked when he counted everyone.

"Where's Sir Bedivere?" Lancelot asked. They all turned around towards where the beast was.

And abruptly there was a Sir Bedivere's screams in the distance. Merlin put her hand over her mouth in horror as her eyes teared up.

Arthur went straight to his father once they were attacked.

"The year creature you describe has all the characteristics of the Questing Beast." Gaius said looking at one of his books.

"Surely that's a myth." Arthur said walking up to Gaius. He grabbed the book and flipped to the picture and placed it on the table. "No that's what we saw."

"According to the old books, the appearance of the Questing Beast is supposed to foreshadow a time of great upheaval." Gaius pointed to the words. Both Arthur and Merlin stood side by side reading the section.
