(Shelby's POV)
We all went outside to play. Of course, I never actually play. I just walk around like some of the other kids here. Well, we aren't really kids. We're more like teens, but we're refered to as children. So we just stuck with it. I was watching that Avery girl climb over the wall and start running toward the forest. She usually does that. Nobody really knows why she does that.
I sigh, watching the other kids play. I look at the other kids who just watching and walking around. Some of them look really.....oh what's the word......unusual.
Finally, after a while, we're all told to go back inside. I go back into my room, bored out of my mind.
(Tem Skip!!!!)
I hear yelling outside my room. I peek outside and see two boys fighting. Of course, they're fighting verbally.
"I told you to leave me alone!" One of them shouts.
"You can't tell me what to do! You're just a wimp with no life!" The other shouts.
Ugh, bullying. I absolutely hate it. It happens everyday around here.
I go back into my room and see a box on the bedside table. I grab it and open it up.
There's a note and a necklace inside.
I grab the note.
Dear Shelby,
I know what happened to your parents. I am so very sorry. But I have decided to give you the power of Life. You will work with some other kids at the orphanage. You need to find a cabin in the forest. Once you find it, say "turn the pain into power" and the door will open. Good luck, Holder of Life. You will need it.

I have....powers? I'm guessing I need to put on the necklace to claim my power.
I put on the necklace and light surrounds me. The light goes away.
