(Ross' POV)
We were outside, again. Of course, I wasn't playing with the others. I was just sitting against the wall, curled up into a ball. Me and some others just look at the others. I always wonder where I would be if my parents hadn't died. Where I would be if my parents hadn't had magics and hadn't tried to stop them.
I sigh as we all go back inside and go back into our rooms.
This orphanage has a lot of rules. One of them was to always stay inside of our rooms. We've all broken that rule before. Another rule was to never leave when we are all outside. We've broken that rule too. But now there are some harsher consequences now.
My thoughts get interrupted by shouting outside the room. I peek out of the room and see two boys fighting.
I roll my eyes and close the door again. On the bedside table I see a box. I open it up and see a note and a necklace.
I pick up the note, reading it.
Dear Ross,
I know what happened to your parents. They were good people. But I have decided to give you the power of Earth. You will work with some other kids at the orphanage. You need to find a cabin at the forest. Once you find it, say "turn the pain into power" and the door will open. Good luck, Holder of Earth. You will need it.

They knew my parents?! Welp, I have to. I want to avenge my parents in any way possible.
I put on the necklace and a green light surrounds me. Once the light goes away, I open the window in my room and climb out, bolting for the forest.
This is where my adventure begins.
