Not What I Expected

My heart was beating a thousand miles per hour as I walked down the London street to Harry's flat. Turns out it was only fifteen minutes away, which only made we walk slower. I felt like I was going to puke. Even though I was on an emotional roller coaster the past week, this had to be the worst yet.

What was going to happen as soon as I walked into his flat? Would she attack me? Or possibly be in complete tears and Harry would hate me. Either way, I had never been so anxious in my life.

As I began climbing the stairs to his flat, I striaghtened out my flowy white blouse and patted down my shoulder length brown hair. All I could think about at the moment was making myself look good. If I was about to see the girl Harry is now 'in love' with, I wanted her to at least feel a tad threatened.

I knocked on the red door lightly, shaking as I did. A few moments went by, then the door eventually swung open.

"Hello! Ollie, I'm so glad you could come over, this is Emily."  He gave me a suggestive smile, as if warning me to be careful and follow his lead. He moved aside slightly, revealing his swanky modern decored home. Then, I spotted a stunning, skinny blond girl standing not far from the door.

"Hello. My name is Emily." She said in a posh American accent. Her button nose was stuck up in the air slightly, I could tell from anywhere that she was a snob.

"Hi! I'm Ollie." I responded. She huffed and crossed her arms.

"I know."

Harry looked back at her and she gave him a dirty look.

"I just wanted to meet the girl that my Harry has been spending his time with, thats all." Emily scoffed.

I struggled to find my words, she seemed very pissed, I need to choose wisely.

"I hope you know that there is nothing going on between Harry and I. We are just old friends that decided to catch up on things, I'm sorry that the media had to make up rumours."

I walked inside the flat, as Harry closed the door behind me.

"I know, Harry's told me. You used to live in Holmes Chapel right?" her voice took a slightly softer tone, which suprised me. I nodded.

"Well, I am not really angry with you. The fans, its just- people don't understand that I am a real person with feelings!" She slowly began to break down in tears. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was almost too perfect.

Through her beauty and good acting skills, I could see a fakeness. Almost like she was pretending to be soo, so innocent. Harry rushed over and gave her a soothing hug, that almost made me cringe.

"I think I'll go get some air." Emily sobbed as she pulled away from Harry and reached for her purse.

"Emily! Are you going out to smoke a fag? I told you its not healthy!" Once I heard Harry announce this, I almost died laughing inside.

Ever since we were younger, Harry found girls that smoked the most unattractive thing ever. The fact that he dated a smoker shocked me!

"Harry! I am stressed right now! I need a release!" She gave Harry a dirty glare as she snapped at him. I felt like the real Emily was coming out.

"I'll leave you two alone." She then directed her glare at me, and stormed out the door.

Harry and I both looked straight at each other.

He seemed embarassed, and belittled.

"Don't think she is usually like this."
