Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
In our daily lives, we will really experience problems and difficulties that are too hard to bear.
But these problems may be caused by Satan to distract our focus to our God. Because in John 10:10 it says "The devil comes to kill, steal and destroy." We just need to stand still and be firm in our commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Secondly, it may be a result of our choices. The Lord is so good that even though He can control us, He has given us free will for us to decide on our own. That's how He loves us. We can decide if we want to do what's right or wrong. But depending on our choice, we must face also consequences for what we have done.
Thirdly, our God gave us situations for our characters to be molded. In Philippians 1:6, we should be confident of this, that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. He is our Creator, our Potter. He wants us to become more and more like Jesus. He wants us to have a grace-awakened attitude.
But we must also know that He won't give us problems that we can't bear.
He is also the one who will provide us the way for us to resolve our problems. He cares for us too much. In 1 Peter 5:7, we just need to cast all our anxieties to Him because He cares for us. He loves us so dearly, that while we were still sinners, our Lord Jesus Christ died for us.
We may have our own fears as well. Fear of darkness, of heights, of death, etc. But the Lord didn't give us the spirit of fear, He gave us the spirit of power in 2 Timothy 1:7.
We can overcome all our problems, circumstances and fears only through Him. If we just trust in Him and surrender our lives to Him alone. He is our greatest helper, our rock, our fortress, our deliverer. Without Him in our lives, we can do nothing. But if Christ is in us, nothing is impossible for Him. For whatever is impossible with man, is possible with God.
Therefore, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We need only to be still and know that He is our God.
