"... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
— Romans 3:23-24Thoughts About the Verse
We are born in this world as a sinner. That even though we haven't done anything yet. The sinless human nature is already built within us. And we all know that it is sin that separated us from our fellowship with God the Father.
No matter how hard we try, how good we are, and how much we work, we can never measure up to the only standard that matters — the glory of our Almighty God. We all fall short of His glory for we are all born sinners.
Thankfully, God doesn't require us to pretend to be what we are not — perfect, spotless, and holy. He knows exactly who we are. We do not need to fake it. We just need to accept it in ourselves.
Instead, God makes us to be these (Colossians 1:21-23) by grace, through the gift of His Son who purchased our pardon and gave us His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21).
"And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister."
~ Colossians 1:21-23 NKJVFor He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
~ II Corinthians 5:21 NKJVWe cannot acquire our salvation by ourselves. That's why our Father God sent His only begotten son to save us. He allowed our Lord Jesus Christ to be the sacrifice, the lamb, in behalf of us.
Praise God! Praise our Savior, Christ Jesus.
That's how our Lord manifested His greatest love for us. That while we will still sinners, the Lord Jesus Christ died for us.
Now let's live with Jesus as our Lord; not to earn or secure our salvation, but to thank Him for what He has so freely given us!
To always come back to Him and say Thank You for what He has done. To say thank You for the cross! For extending His arm for us that we might live through Him and for Him.
We don't need to base our salvation with our works. But instead we are saved to do good works. Our Lord has done this so that no one can boast. For all the glory, power and honour belongs to God alone! We must bring it back to Him.
