Froze in time

    It was another sunny day in June,but nothing had been the same since that day Natsu was taken from Gray.Will anything ever be the same?Gray still misses that brat and it's been five years.Not a word had been spoken about Natsu's disappearance from any of his guild members.They just carried own with a deadly secret they was never spoken of.It was like he was just a ghost of the past that reminded them all that they aren't invincible.
    Gray heaved a deep sigh wiping the remaining tears that lingered on his cheeks whenever he thought of his long-lost pink haired lover. Natsu was his everything.And when he Natsu,he lost apart of himself.He could barely function without that dragonslayer,except for days he'd go up to the mountains and take his anger out there.
    Happy probably took it as bad as he did,maybe worse.He now lived with Gray,though the both of them miss Natsu they somehow grew closer.They hardly do a thing around the guild and everyone knows it.Its been like that since the moment Natsu left their lives and no one can say a thing that would change either of their minds in the matter.
    "Gray!It's Lucy."He heard the blonde call for him along with the sound of the front door slamming shut."Happy?Where are you two?"
    He turn over in his bed,pulling the blankets over his head, not wanting to see her or anyone else.Sometimes Happy was what he needed,since Happy had spent most of his life mainly with Natsu.Happy was the closest thing he had to having Natsu.
    He heard the bedroom door creak open,pretending to be asleep.
    "Come on Gray,please get out of bed.Just once today and I won't bother you or Happy.I promise."She offered."You need to get out of this lonely house,anyways.Everyone has been worried,Gray."She said in a serious tone,trying to convince him to spent the day with her.
    "Please,Gray..."He heard the adorable cat plead as well wondering how she got him to agree.
    "Fine..."He groaned,pulling the blankets off and tossing them aside.
    He glanced over at his blonde friend,then at the blue cat.
    "Thanks Gray!"Lucy sends him a friendly smile,hugging him."This means a lot."
    "Yeah-yeah just remember your promise."It was weird for him to have another being touch him since his intimacy with Natsu.Natsu usually was possessive over him.Even though Lucy hugged him frequently whenever she came over it still felt weird.
    The raven haired ice wizard threw on a black t-shirt,a dark blue button-up shirt and pulled on some black baggy jeans with a white belt to hold his pants up.
     Lucy sat there waiting til the ice wizard was dressed,him dressing hadn't bothered her much since she's gotten used to him doing that in front of her when ever she asked him to go out.
    "I'm ready when you are."He said in a forced smile.
    "Great! I'll keep you company the whole day so I know you actually went outside.If you don't mind that is."
    "Yeah,you can,Lucy."He assured the blonde.
    He glanced over at the blue floating cat,strolling over to him and pulling him into a hug."Let's go Happy."He said softly,placing a soft kiss on the cat's forehead.

    The three of them spent several hours out in Magnolia.Longer than what any of them had expected.They'd gone down by the small river that flowed down where  Natsu used to live;they visited the guild hall for a quick chat and reassurance for everyone,even the guild master,now they find themselves,many hours later walking home as the sunsets over the changed town.
    Gray and Lucy walked side by side with a blue cat flying by Gray in a somewhat peaceful silence.That was until Lucy shattered the emptiness between them.
    "Gray?"
    "Yeah,Lucy?"
    "Thanks for agreeing to spent the day with me."
    "No problem,Lucy.You were right, though. I needed to stop hiding in that lonely house."
    "I'm sorry, if I was kind of perssiant with you and Happy earlier. I'm just really worried about you both and so is everyone else.We only want what's best for you.You know that,right?"
    The ice wizard nodded,shying away from looking at her.She didn't have to say it.He knew it was because of Natsu.He was such a sensitive topic to talk about."I know,Lucy."
    Let's get ice cream."Happy suggested feeling hungry since their last meal.
    "Sure."Both wizards chuckle at his adorableness for the first time in a long one.It was almost like old times,but without their important dragonslayer,Natsu.
   

    Later that night Gray woke to the sound of a crashing noise in the living room.He hopped out of bed in just boxers,running to the living room to see what all the commotion was about.
    "Juvia? What are you doing here?"His voice sounded tired and surprised.
