When I was me,
I saw grey and death.
I saw depression and starvation.
I saw greed and murder.
But now I see illusion.
I'm sleeping awake,
I dream with my eyes open.
I scream with my mouth shut.
I'm calm yet I am panicking.
All because of this illusion .
I am happy when I am sad,
but Im never sad.
Summer fades into oblivion
but I wont miss its warmth
in this illusion.
I'm waving a final goodbye
I'm saying hello to a girl with no face
I'm swimming in blood,
I'm dancing on glass.
all because of this illusion .
On the inside looking out
at myself.
I wave but she cry's
and I don't know why,
Or do I?
I thought she'd leave,
I thought she'd fade away,
but she's always in the corner
always screaming something
I can't hear.
I guess theres always reality
within illusion,
theres always blood beneath our feet,
theres always greed behind closed doors,
and death in the corner of our eyes.
When I was me,
I hid behind a mask of illusion,
seeking no help,
until the choice was made for me,
I am the illusion.
