During a dark,cold winter night in Texas,Lizzie, who was eight, had a terrible nightmare.Little did she know it was about to become her reality. As she slumped out of bed she heard a scream and recognised it.'MUM!' she walled whilst she rushed on her Peppa Pig dressing gown. Hastily, she opened the door to her beloved mothers room.
She wasn't there! Where could she be? Dashing to the front door Lizzie experienced horrible visions on where her mother had gone. But no! She had to think on the bright side of things. Opening the door, Lizzie saw a world of gushing water with powerful tides. A tsunami! Lizzie had been taught about tsunamis but never actually known the terrible effects. In the space of 5 minutes Lizzie had: lost her mom and now her hope. She couldn't help but think what else is there left to lose? There were 3 questions on her mind: what's happening? Where's Mum ? And what will happen now ?
