The "Koppertons" have a southern accent.

I rubbed my eyes pull the covers off of me and stood next to my bed. I opened the closet doors and looked in.
My shoes all lied on the floor, they were a mess,. I looked up at the outfits. I grabbed a dark blue shirt with a pink heart on it and threw it on. Then I put on some tan shorts.
As soon as I was all dressed I walked out and down the stairs. As I walked into the kitchen I noticed a white piece of lined paper.
"Dear Cailey,
Happy birthday baby! I am at work till 1:00. Then I can take you out to lunch. Don't eat anything. Also I have a surprise. Just wait and play with your brothers.
Love you, Mom"
Dads at work to, but I wonder what the surprise is. Let's see she will be back at 1:00. What time is it?
I look over and see that the clock on our microwave says 9:03. Ugh! I still have... 1..2..3..4..5..5 hours until lunch! Seriously!
I try to take up time in the living room and kitchen, but I got bored so I walked over to the office. I walked inside and I see Toby on the computer.
"Hey Toby." I say. He turns away from the computer to me and says.
"Hey Cailey. Happy birthday."
"You remembered." I said. I was very surprised he remembered.
He looked past me and pointed at the front door. Oh of course. My mom always puts who's ever birthday it is on the front door as well as their age.
I walk over to the door.
"Happy Birthday Cailey! 10"
I stare at it for awhile. The font was big and very curvy and swoopy.
I walk back to the office were Toby had continued to play his game. I looked over at and tried to figure out what game he was playing.
After awhile I got bored of watching him play. I walked out of the office and into the kitchen. I was very hungry. I walked over to the covers. Breakfast. I opened them hoping to see that they were filled with anything and everything. But that is not so. What actually happened is I opened it and it was very empty. Great! I sighed. I walked over and opened the fridge. Not much was in there either. But I did see milk. I grabbed it and set it on the counter. I walked back over to the covers and grabbed a bag of Captain Crunch cereal. I set that on the counter as well. I walked over to the other side of the table and grabbed a bowl and a spoon. I poured the cereal and milk into the bowl, and started to eat.
As I was eating I didn't realize that my younger brother Peyton had walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. He snuck up behind me.
"Goooooodddd morning!" He yelled.
"Ahhhh... What the heck Peyton!" I said as i turned around to face him.
"Good morning Cailey!" He said with a smile.
"Good morning Peyton." I said with a sigh.
"Where is moma?"
"Moms at work and so is dad."
"Ohh... ok." He then ran off to go play. I saw him run off to the office. Oh no Toby. I walked close to the office so I could hear better. He snuck up behind Toby to.
"Gooood morning!"
"Ahh.. geez Peyton."
Peyton started to bust out laughing. He had scared Toby more than he scared me.
"Why do you like scaring people." Peyton just continued laughing.
"You are gonna get it." I watched as Toby sprung from his chair and towards Peyton. Toby grabbed him and pinned him to the ground and started to tickle him.
"No... stop it Toby..ahhh...stop."
I walked in.
"My turn." I got on the floor next to Toby and started to tickle Peyton.
"That's what you get for scaring me."
"I am sorry." He said laughing from me tickling him. "Stop! Stop!"
I stopped and he sat up.
"You done scaring us." Toby said.
"Fine. Ok."
"Good because if you do that again I will tickle you and it won't stop. You will get what you are asking for." Toby said.
"Alright, alright."
I walked over to the TV and turned it on to Netflix.
I then watched until I heard the garage open and my mom walked through the garage door.
"Cailey! Cailey!"
"Yeah momma." I said as I got off of the couch and walked over to her.
"You ready for lunch?"
"Yeah."
I walked over to the kitchen counter and grabbed my jacket I opened the door for my mom and we walked into the garage then to the car. My mom got in the drivers seat and I got in the seat diagonal from her.
We pulled out and headed on the road.
"Where do you want to go?" She asked as she looked at me through her mirror.
"Costa Vida."
"Alright."
I turned my head to the window and watched as the sencery flashed by. Soon the car came to a stop and I pulled my self away from the window.
We walked in to the restaurant and ordered. We sat down at the table and she set a present on the table. I looked at her and she just smiled.
"Happy birthday baby." Her southern accent was strong. I never really noticed till' now.
"Can I open it now?" I asked as my gazed went from her to the present she set in the table.
"Of course baby. You don't have to save it till after."
I smiled and went after the present. It was in a light brown colored bag with gray tissue paper.
I tore the paper out and pulled out a journal. It was leather on the front? Not sure.
"A journal?" I questioned as I examined the thing.
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"So you can record everything when or after it happens so you never forget."
"Ok. Cool! Thank you Momma."
"You're welcome baby."
Soon we ate then headed to the mall my mom told me I could pick out something or we could get some candy. We spent three hours there just walking around and looking at clothes. In the end I just got some candy. We hand to drive home from the mall so I got home at like 5:00. I was awesome though. My momma told me the whole family could watch a movie together. If I wanted.
Soon when the movie was over we had to go to bed. So I got ready and went to bed.
