Out of the 156 soldiers and over the course of 8 months there were only 39 left. The rest were sent back home or to a base. The training was tough and the academics were almost impossible. Alexis and YN managed to stay in, squeezing through the though spaces.
"Alexis you doing ok there bud?" YN patted his bent form. He was breathing heavily, his light brown hair growing a bit too long for protocol was falling over his bright hazel eyes. "I think I just pulled a muscle. "Ah you're fiiiiiiine walk it off." She had a sarcastic tone in her voice. "Oh please N/N do you really have to start with this. It's like frikken 6 in the morning." He laughed. "Duh I have to make sure your sorry ass isn't left behind." Smiling down at him, carefully she lifted his arm over her shoulder making his weight shift on to hers. "Thank you YN" he sighed as they walked to the infirmary. Taking a look the medic placed an ice pack as a temporary hold. "Come by after the classes." She said shoeing them away.
"Alright!! Sit down we have a new topic to cover and it is crucial to understand. Mr. Stark has graciously offered to teach this lesson. Also further selection will be made after this class by the man of iron himself. Anyone selected goes home early. Please listen with respect and do be careful with your words." Maj Salazar had finished his small speech before Tony walked in a tshirt and jeans waving at the class of soldiers. "So advanced physics and advanced calculus. I'm sure you all are able to understand this." He had a cocky grin, stepping away from the podium he lifted a paper and crumbled it up in the other hand he took a normal sheet of paper. He dropped the papers, obviously one floated taking its sweet time to lay on the floor while the other paper fell straight down. "Who can tell me the difference between the two motions the papers fell in." He looked around noticing a hand in the middle of the room. Tony smiled and pointed at her, "You madam?" YN stood up and answered, "Both papers have the same weight although falling at different speeds they fall by the same pull of the earth due to the way they are shaped. One more or less aerodynamic the other not so much causing it to float rather than fall." She waited to be addressed to sit. Tony nodded smiling at her and pointed at her. "Right on Sergeant (Sgt)?......" Tony waited for her response. "Lance corporal LN" with confidence she spoke. "Well right on the money LCpl LN. What she just explained was the whole damn lesson. What I will teach is the formula and calculation techniques to acquire those numbers." Alexis looked at her and gave her a fist bump,"Bro Tony fucking Stark dude!" He whispered.
After an hour both Alexis and YN aced the lesson getting 98/99 averages.
"Miss LN I would love to have you on my team as well as Mr?" Tony looked at Alexis. "Alexis Devon Price sir." He said beaming. "Well then Price and LN you are the select few to be heading to SHEILD. I do believe your Major will explain further. Lets hope you make it through SHIELD training. I would love getting to know you." He emphasized -you- while looking at YN making her blush slightly. Alexis scoffed. They walked to the HQ to report. From there they were back in the infirmary to get the medic to properly look at Alexis' ankle and leg.
"Looks alright. In two weeks I'm sure you can start running again just be gentle besides you will be sent home." The medic smiled happily at the work she finished. "YN make sure he doesn't do squats." She giggled "Are you serious? Aghhhh it isn't that bad" Alexis huffed trying to hide his pouting face.
Along the hallways Tony was making a call, he ended the call after noticing YN carrying Alexis. He jogged over to them whilst waving down another person, it was Dr. Banner. -ahhh shit....oh? Banner...what next Fury??- YN thought in a slight panic.
"Are you alright Price?" Tony asked taking his weight off her. "I hadn't realized you were injured since you sat the entire class. Have you seen a medic or doctor?" He asked. "Yes I have, YN helped me there." Alexis smiled at her sweetly. "Oh this is-" Tony was cut off by the man "Bruce Banner at your service YN I saw both of your scores. Very impressive!" He smiled shaking both of their hands. "I read a few of your books. It is amazing what you accomplished!" She had loosened up a bit becoming her normal self. "Oh wow thank you." Bruce stuttered his words slightly. "We need to get to the car. Apparently we are heading home for a month or so." Alexis said trying to hold himself up. "Ah yes lets get you home soldiers." Tony smiled. In the car Tony and Bruce had personally driven them to the airport. YN tried to avoid the awkward tension. Her phone rang, a close relative,"Hello N/N we have missed you so much. Have you been chosen with SHIELD yet?!" They had an enthusiastic voice. "Actually yes. THE Tony Stark and Dr. Banner them selves are escorting us to the air port. We will be arriving home in 17 hours." She said quite happily, Alexis nudged her to signal he was saying hello. "Oh Alexis the derp says hello!" She laughed, making Tony and Bruce chuckle in the front seat. However Alexis pouted with a really-are-you-serious-face. He cracked eventually and ended up laughing too.
"Well here we are. We will see you in training!" Tony yelled as the soldiers walked off. YN dragged Alexis along with her waving back at the two in the car.
