Ava woke up the next morning, the curtains of her four poster bed, the curtains were still shut and it was still dark out but it was definitely morning, the birds were chirping happily.
Ava groaned as she slowly pulled the curtains away and slipped on some socks, looking around the room to see Haley's bed made and everything perfectly organized. Ava thought nothing of it, her two other dorm buddies were fast asleep, snoring away, she smiled slightly and made her way to the common room.
Ava walked up the stairs to see Haley sitting by the barley lit fire, smiling at her best friend, Ava sat next to her on the worn out couch. She looked over at Haley who quickly turned her slight frown into a fake smile.
"Is everything okay Hal?" Asked a conserved Ava. "You know I don't like when my friends are sad, what's going on?"
"Oh Av, it's really nothing I promise," she looked at Ava and her eyes filled with tears. "Ava I don't understand, I get so emotional over these things and it doesn't make sense, I like Jack and I've had feelings for him but he's such an attractive human being that all these other girls seem to go head over heels for him, and I'm left in the dirt, friend zoned because I'm his best friend" she wiped her tears from her eyes and stiffened her posture.
"Well Haley, you're my best friend and I'm going to help you through this, bec-" Ava stopped her sentence and looked up at a tired Jack still in his pajamas.
Jack yawns and walks over to the cushion next to Haley. "What's cookin' good lookin" he says with a playful smirk. Haley blushes a bit and Jack looks at Ava and laughs. "I was only joking," he laughs and gets up to go get changed. "Imma go change, don't miss me too much red" he looks at Haley and walks downstairs to get changed.
"I see what you mean Haley, he's like that, he's not a player, but he sure does play around with your feelings" Ava turned her concerned friends' frown into a small smile before standing up and going down to the girls dorm.
"Wait Ava, where are you going?" asked Haley. She gets up to follow Ava.
"I promised Granter I'd find some time to play wizards chess" Ava replied with a grin.
"OoooOoo" teased Haley, she pushed a piece of red hair behind her ear and sat on her bed looking at Ava try to pick out some decent clothes.
10 minutes later
"UGH HALEY I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR! I bet by now he's already gone because I didn't show up" Ava slumped into her bed.
"Ava you have plenty of clothes why don't you just stick on your skinny jeans, your sweatshirt and a pair of nice shoes?" Asked Haley as she laid the outfit on her bed.
Ava cocked her head to the side to see the outfit, it was causal and cute.
"Haley you genius!" Ava said, she took her pajamas off and quickly slipped on the outfit Haley had picked out. "How do I look?" Ava asked, she did a twirl and waited for Haley to answer.
"Adorable if I must say, Now you've waisted enough time getting dressed, now hurry along so you don't waste anymore of your precious time with Granter" Haley winked and Ava ran up the stairs.
Ava walked through the hallways. It was quiet which was odd at this time in the morning. Ava's next stop was the library where she would get to beat Granter's ass in wizards chess. She turned another corner when her way was blocked. Her smile was now gone as she looked up at the Slytherin.
"Excuse me Riddle, could you possibly move I have places to be and I'd rather not be talking to you at the moment"
"Whoops too late, where do you think you're going Weasley?"
"It's non of your business Riddle, now can you move?" Asked Ava again.
"Now Hufflepuff, why would I do that?" He asked smirking, he took a step closer to her.
"Riddle you know I don't have time for this", Ava frowned, crossing her arms.
"It's Saturday, no classes, what are you doing?", he asked with a smirk.
"The library", She stated, trying to move past him, but he moved in front of her.
"You can go to the library anytime", he leaned his shoulder on the wall.
"It's important Riddle, now move".
"No", he smirked, looking down at her.
Ava sighed and looked up, "What do you want, you arrogant idiot?".
Louis frowned, taking a step forward until he whispered in her ear, "That's very rude Hufflepuff", he stayed there waiting for a response.
"You've said worse Riddle", she breathed shakily, trying to stand her ground.
Louis moved his head until he was looking her in the eyes, "I've done worse too", he smirked, making Ava's hands start to shake and her lips tremble. Louis leaned in slowly, "Like play with innocent girls' feelings", then he closed the distance, pressing his lips on hers.
"Ava?", asked Granter as he rounded to a stop.
She tried to pull away and explain but Louis held her there.
"AVA!", Granter shouted, Louis let go, giving her one last smirk, and walked away.Ava looked up slowly, feeling guilty, his face was filled with shock and confusion.
"Ava what the hell, are you okay? He didn't make you--", he started
"Granter I'm fine, he's just being... Louis, that's all", she told him.
"Really, cause it seemed like you enjoyed him being, 'Louis'", he said, with hurt in his voice.
"Granter I'm sorry-", Ava apologized.
"No I'm sorry", he said with a hint of anger, his eyes watering, "For ever thinking we could be more than friends", Granter shook his head in disbelief and turned away without another look.
"Granter", Ava whispered, her voice hoarse and broken. He just left, all Ava could think about was how she needed Haley to give her advice, and be the great friend she needed.
