Friday came around unnaturally quick, I thought it was Tuesday. As usual the subjects were pretty boring, even art; which I have a strong liking to. When I was taking notes on an artist I hadn't heard of, I felt a tap on my shoulder; I knew who it was immediately. Harry. I turned my neck to see him, looking at me with a hopeful expression; maybe even nervous. That's a sight I haven't seen on him; he's always confident, on the verge of cocky.
"What's up?" I asked, eyeing him with suspicion.
"Uh, can you get Jeremy for me?" I looked at him and raised an eyebrow; he barely ever talks to Jeremy in front of me. But I nodded and waved a hand in front of Jeremy's page.
He looked up at me "Yeah?" I pointed to Harry, sitting behind me. "Sup, Harry?"
"Listen, about the party, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it." He stated, not even remotely disappointed.
Jeremy just shrugged his shoulders. "No worries mate, maybe another time, yeah?" He said, sighing a little. Harry looked back down at the page, like nothing happened. I didn't even know they talked to each other, let alone celebrated birthday's together. Jeremy looked at me and asked "You still comin'?" In the corner of my eye I saw Harry's head whip up from his work.
"Yeah, it'll be fun." I said with a small smile. Jeremy had a grin on his face. He subtly looked down at my lips, which made me blush a bit. He looked back up into my dull eyes.
"I'm glad." He stated, turning back to his page.
"You're going to a... party?" Harry butted in to the conversation. I glanced at him to see wide green eyes burning a hole in my face.
"Don't sound so surprised, I'm not as anti-social as you think." I chuckled to myself.
He looked back down at his page with a slight frown on his face. This confused me, but I didn't want to be a pain, so I just let him be. I turned around looking down at my page. The words were not sinking in the only thing I was thinking about was the feeling of Harry's eyes lingering on me. I was about to turn around to confront him until I was disrupted.
"Sam?" Ms Willow called out. I stood from the table, walking over to her desk. She looked up at me with a bright smile. I returned it. "We are going to be pairing up students to work on ideas for major art projects. I was wondering whether you wanted to choose who you worked with, since you're new and all." She asked politely. I pondered over this for a while.
"Miss, its fine I'd feel more comfortable if you treated me no different than all the others." I gestured to the class. "Thanks anyway."
"That's fine." She replied simply, with a small smile. She then stood up and started assigning people partners. All the names were pulled from two hats. Jeremy and Harry were already picked. The only two people I knew in the class. Greeeat. "Sam, you will be paired with... Jake." Who the fuck is Jake? I looked around the room to see who was coming up with me. I nearly choked on my own drool when I saw who he was. How did I not know who the fuck Jake was? All the girls' heads turned to admire the sex god that was Jake. He was walking towards me like an angel. It was like it was in slow motion. He was right in front of me; I just stared up at him. I heard a cough coming from my right. It was Harry who was chuckling at my embarrassment. I wanted to punch him so bad, and put a dint in that handsome face of his.
I was pulled out of my trance when I heard the most amazing voice ever. "Hey, Sam is it?" I looked up into his baby blue eyes. I didn't trust my voice so I just nodded. I didn't want to attempt to open my mouth, it would be embarrassing if a chucked up on this sexy beast standing in front of me. He positioned his hand around my waist, guiding me to our seats. I needed to break out of this. SNAP OUT OF IT, SAM! "Do you have any ideas about your art major work?" Maybe doing a representation of us fucking on a table or something.
"Uhm, no not really. You?" I said. Please be a nude shoot, please be a nude shoot, I thought.
He looked up into the distance as if visualising his finalised artwork. The light captured his features perfectly, accentuating his chiselled jawline and plump lips. He was about to reply when Jeremy's presence was noticed in front of our desks. Both Jake and I looked up at Jeremy expectantly. His eyes stared into mine before diverting to Jake's.
"Hey, Jake." He said, full of confidence. Jake looked up at him, confusion written all over his face. I could tell they hadn't talked much before.
"Uhh, hi Jeremy." Jake replied, still very confused as to what was happening. "What's up?"
"The sky." I mentally face palmed at his reply. Jake just stared at him for a few seconds. There was slight tension in the air, mixed with an awkward silence. "Listen, I wanted to borrow your... uhm... pencil." He asked not really sure of himself. Jake looked at him with his eyebrows raised, but complied and handed him a pencil anyway. Jeremy then glanced over at me, looking a bit saddened while walking back over to his desk. What is with people today?

After art, I ran straight to lunch. I wanted to tell Em all about Jake. That's until I saw her sitting on the sex God's lap. My mouth was agape, and now I understand why she kept him hidden from me. Damn, this makes sense. They started making out like no one was watching. I wouldn't blame you, Em. I slowly walked over to the table and sat down; making a loud thud so they'd notice my presence. "Oh hey, Sam. This is Jake, my boyfriend." I waved and smiled at him. He sent me a knowing smile. Many other started arriving. Jeremy surprised me by putting his hands on my shoulders, massaging them.
"Sup, Sammy." He looked at me with a bright smile. Someone's mood lightened up. I was about to reply before Jake butted in.
"The sky." Jake said. I couldn't help but giggle at his reply. I then looked back at Jeremy, who was far less amused.
"You had it coming, Jer." I whispered in his ear. He just waved me off. His pissy mood has continued. Let's hope he cheers up for his party.
