I walked towards the front. Watching the man walk to the door and knock. Jane answered. Allowing the man inside. I followed, peering through windows. I had to protect my Jane. Make sure this man didn't harm her. I stopped at one window. I had a clear view of her. Her and the man. What happened next sent me in shock. The man leaned forward and kissed Jane. I froze. No. No, she was mine. No one could have her but me. No one. I reached for a knife in my back pocket.    I stood up. Preparing myself. I jumped through the window. The sound of shattering glass filled the room. Terrified scream, from Jane. A shout from the man. He ran towards me. I brought up my knife and plunged it into his chest. He stared at me in shock, before falling to his knees. I took the knife out and stabbed him again, and again, and again. Blood stained my shirt and knife. A puddle of blood lay around the man. Such a pretty red. I've Jane would look good in it. I glanced up at her, and smiled. No more of a happy smile. No more of a playful smile. No, the smile was that of an insane murder. As I approached Jane she backed up.
"No. No. I was about to. The cops. Your. The news." She could get a full sentence out. I smiled and looked over at the TV. The station was the local news. I frowned. It was too late. She had found out. If only she hadn't.
"Aww. I wanted to keep you. You were going to be mine. Forever." I muttered. Jane looked up. Horrified, as I got closer. I brought the knife up and plunged it into her chest. I carved a circle and tore a chunk of her skin out. I looked down at her heart. Taking my knife and digging it out. I'd keep it. I was, after all mine. I stole it fare and square. I glanced over at the TV as someone began to speak.
"We warn people to stay away from others. Alexander Grove, escaped from a mental institution last week. He's been charged with murder, stalking, theift, and attempted murder. He's mentally sick, suffering from Kleptomania, Split Personally, Schizophrenia, and Phychosis. Keep your distance if he should approach you." I smiled. How people knew so much about me was unknown. I had what I needed. I had finally stolen the heart from Jane Smith.
