True Colors (John Laurens X reader)

Hanging out with the three boys, was great. They would talk about John a lot. You had heard so much about him, its as if you've already met him.
In class one day you noticed that you could see something different. That book in your hand. It looked different. A different shade. You turn to Alex and whisper, "Alex. This looks different to me."
"What?"
"The book"
"How?"
"I don't know... it's not black or white..."
"Oh my god it's starting." He gasps.
"Alex." Mrs. Keaton raises her brows.
"Sorry."

After class, you and Alex talk more.
"It's starting." He smiles.
"What is?" You had no idea what he was talking about.
"Some people get like signs that their gonna meet their soulmate. It's extremely rare. Only like 5 people have had it. The worst part is, when your soulmate dies. You'll feel everything, and you can't see color anymore." He tells you.
"Seriously?" You laugh. He wasn't joking.
"Yeah. I'm not kidding." Lafayette and Hercules come running with huge smiles on their faces.
"John is on his way." Lafayette smiles.
"Really!?" Alex says in excitement. You blinked and you saw more colors. "You know what? I think I want to go to my dorm and sleep." This whole color thing was making you feel sick.
"Are you okay Y/n?" Lafayette grabs your hand.
"No, I, just feel nervous. I guess. My head hurts a lot too."
"She's starting to see colors." Alex explains.
"Mademoiselle, would you like me to carry you? You could rest in my bed if you'd like?"
"I can walk. I think." You laugh.
"Oh okay. But i'm right next to you just in case." Lafayette smiles.
"Thank you." You look at his eyes. They were brown. It was the best thing you'd ever seen. They were so nice to look at.

As Hercules struggled to find his key in his back pack you leaned on the wall.
"Okay, let's go." Hercules walks in. You follow him and lay down on Lafayette's bed.
Lafayette brings you a glass of water. "Thanks Laf." You smile.
"You're welcome."
"Y/n. You should really nap." Hercules recommends.
"I think I will. Thank's guys." You let out a small smile. Every second your eyes were open, your head started to hurt more. So, you closed your eyes and started to drift off.

Alex gets a phone call.
"Is it John?" Hercules asks.
"Yeah. He must be outside." Alex answers.
"Okay, i'll stay here with Y/n." Lafayette says.
"Okay. We'll be back." Hercules announces.
Alex was the most excited about John. He hasn't seen his best buddy in a few months. Obviously, he was gonna be a bit bummed when he found out his best friend was going to stuck for another week in another state.
"Alex! Hercules!" John called out. He had only his backpack and some clothes in a carry on.
"Oh John, you are going to love this chick we became friends with. She's passed out on Lafayette's bed though." Alex smiles and nods enthusiastically.
"Oh, why am I not surprised. Can't wait to meet her." John laughs.
"Yeah she's awesome. She's starting to see color and she just feels sick." Hercules explains. Who is she? John thinks
