True Colors (John Laurens X reader)

You slept the whole rest of the day and night. The next morning you woke up next to Lafayette. You look at the time, 6 AM. You notice Alex was awake. You slowly try to get out of Lafayette's bed without waking him. "Alex why are you up?" You yawn.
"I woke up during the night and I remembered I had an essay due later today." He sighs.
"Alex. We had an essay due today?" You grew worried.
"No, it's for a Writing class i'm taking."
"Ah okay. You scared me." You laugh as you take a seat at the table with Alex.
"How's the color thing?"
"It's okay. I can only see two colors. The color of that one book, and the color of your shirt. What color's are they?" You ask.
"The book was red and my shirt is blue. Maybe when you actually talk to them you see all the other colors."
"I don't know Lex." You shrug.
"It's gonna be okay."
"What if they don't like me?" You wonder.
"They will. Trust me." He smiles. For about an hour or so, you sit next to Alex on your phone while he writes.
"I should go. I have to get ready for class soon. I'll see you later." You pat Alex's back before leaving. "Who left?" Hercules yawns.
"Y/n."
"Ah okay." Hercules gets up. "What's today?"
"Thursday." Alex answers.
"Maybe we should all go out tomorrow. Hit some clubs. See if Y/n is up for it?"
"I'll ask her later in class."
"Morning douchebags." John stretches.
"We're gonna go clubbing tomorrow you in?" Hercules asks.
"Obviously. Where's your friend?" John asks about you.
"She left to her dorm." Alex tells him.
"Cool." He smiles.

You slouched in your seat and groaned. The professor wasn't coming in today and you really were lowkey excited for class. The professor was going to choose 5 students today to help her on a case. And you were hoping you were in the 5. But, cancelled. You left as you got a text from Alex.

Lex: We wanna go clubbing tomorrow? Interested?
Y/n: sure, why not? Lmfao

You smile at the thought of going out. "Hey, you dropped something." Someone called out from behind you as you left the classroom. You turn to pick up a pen that had slipped from your pocket.

"Thanks," you gasp as you notice who was front of you.
