Why me?

Ginny Weasley was lying on her bed, facing towards the door with her eyes closed. Those words were haunting her and she wanted some answers, she got nervous as she heard Harry, her fiencé, yelling, "I am home, love."

She closed her eyes shut and pulled the covers over herself. She heard the door of the room being opened, then closed, followed by footsteps which were coming close to her.

"Is my sunshine asleep?", she heard Harry as he sat next to her. She felt his warm and strong body hugging her back. "I know when you are acting, love."

She stayed still and felt being engulfed, her face was now resting against Harry's chest.

"Do I smell bad, sunshine?", he asked, it was weird, but Ginny knew he was smirking and she fought an urge to groan.

"I took bath, um, probably three days ago.", said Harry. Ginny's eyes flung opened and she pushed him away.

"Ew, Harry.", she said. Harry, who was on the floor, started laughing.

"I took a shower this morning, sunshine.", he said and sat next to her. "I just know how to trigger my beautiful future-wife."

The sore subject was just brought back to her mind, why she? Why can't Harry Potter love someone else? Someone more beautiful, richer?

Harry noticed the sudden change in her behaviour last evening, when his sunshine stopped being all bubbly and talkative. He tried to get the matter out of her mouth, but she always denied it by saying it was nothing too important.

"Gin, its been the same since last evening, what's wrong?", Harry asked.

Ginny looked up at him, his green eyes looking at her with concern flooding in them. His eyes always made her weak.

"Why me?", she asked softly.

"What?", he sat closer to her and pulled her close to himself. "I didn't heard you, sunshine."

"Why me, Harry? Why do you want to marry me?", she asked, nervousness was reflecting in her voice and the badass-confident Ginny Weasley was nowhere to be seen.

It was one of her rare sides, a side which showed that she can be as insecure and as curious as a cat. Harry had a few encounters with this side of her's, and he knew it was not she being over dramatic or anything, it was just her insecurity winning over her self confidence.

He hugged her to his chest, her hands were instantly wrapped around him, and his hands were resting on her back, "Because I love you, Ginny."

"Why do you love?", she asked again. "Why me? Why not Cho? Or Hermione? They are so much better than me.", her voice was strained and she was barely whispering. "You deserve so much better, so much purer. Look at me, what am I? I am not even a proper girl.", she pulled away from Harry. "I don't laugh like other girls, my laugh sounds more like choking. I don't wear those short dresses. I don't know how to act like a lady. I am no where near to your standards."

Harry cupped her faced and looked straight into her eyes. Ginny always felt like Harry could see her soul when he looks into her eyes.

Harry had a determined look on his face, he had heard these questions many times, but he never wanted Ginny to feel like this, to feel she is not worthy of him, truth to be told, Harry knew he is nothing without her.

"Bullshit.", he said and used his thumb to wipe a tear which leaked from Ginny's eyes. "You will sit quietly and hear.", he said softly. Ginny nodded in response. "I love you because you complete me, Gin.", he pulled her into a, yet another, hug. "I love the way you laugh, because its not like those plastic giggling girls. You know why I call you sunshine? Because of your laugh, your voice, and your smell, sorry I am a creep", he laughed nervously. ", it completes my day, you brighten my day by just wishing me good morning. You are my light in the dark, sunshine.", he smoothed her bed-tossed hair, and kissed them. "You say you are not like other girls? Heck, I know you are not, and that's what makes you special, Gin, that's what made me fell in love with you.", his voice became a little heavier because of the lump that formed in his throat. "I never loved Cho, she was just a distraction and Hermione is like a sister to me.", he rolled his eyes. "And what standards where you talking about, Ginny-kinns, huh? Gin, I eat rice with my hands, I don't take baths for days.", at this he heard her groan which made him chuckle. "If these are your standards, sunshine, then yeah, we are no match."

"What did I do to get you?", she asked him.

"Well, apart from being dead-drop gorgeous, nothing.", he smirked.

"Prat.", she laughed.

"I love the sound of your laugh, sunshine."
