Macy (Missionary) - Just a service

The guy me and Miss Mystery are fighting is a literal ninja.

He is flipping and spinning in the air. I'm pretty sure he can nearly jump as high as The Elemental (and she uses air propulsion). I am running out of bombs and am down to my last throwing knife.

I hear a couple of yells coming from my team mates and their opponents alike, maybe pain, maybe anguish, maybe even fun (in Lady Prophets case). I turn my attention back to the guy that I am currently fighting.

The ninja is jumping and flipping to avoid the dozens of spirits being hurled at him at over 30 kilometres/hour. I throw a small net-bomb hoping to catch our ninja by surprise. The bomb hits him on the arm and is about to explode when a spirit charges into it, knocking it off course and making it explode behind Empress's foot. I am about to yell a warning but it is too late. Empress trips on it and falls back, luckily she is being covered by Lady Prophet and has time to get up.

'I had that!' I yell to Miss Mystery, while trying avoid the ninja's attacks.

'Well obviously not,' She retaliates, 'because you nearly killed Empress!'

'That was your fault!'

'I can't deal with you!' She yells.

A flaming arrow flys in the middle of us, making us look at the shooter on top of a building. We see Elemental up there narrowly dodging a punch to the face before looking at us and giving us a look that we get much too often. It pretty much says 'get on with it'.

We continue fighting the ninja in silence, but we are losing badly. When I am about to give up, a portal opens up next to the ninja and Empress pops out and hits the ninja on the head, stunning him. Lady Prophet runs up and gives her a high five.

'You looked like you needed some assistance' Lady Prophet exclaims.

'We were doing fi-'

I am interrupted by a crazy ninja trying to slice my head off with a sword he just pulled out from behind him. We look at each other and know the plan immediately. It's the plan we usually turn to when things start looking bad.

We all separate and spread out, each taking a side of the ninja. I throw down a smoke bomb and we all hide within the cover. I use the X-ray vision setting on my goggles to see the ninja clearly through the haze. He is standing in the middle of us with a confused look on his face. He attempts to move out of our barricade but is stopped by a flying spirit, shot by Miss Mystery. We close in a bit and I move closer with my last throwing knife in my hand and hit him on the head with the hilt, knocking him out cold.

'W-what?' Lady Prophet stammers, ' you hit him on the head?'

'Yeah,' I smile, 'just to annoy you, obviously.'

'What took you so long?' The Elemental walks up to us smiling and holding her right arm tight against her body.

'Were you watching us?' Inquired Miss Mystery, confused.

'Well, I didn't want to interrupt.' The Elemental says with a sort of laugh, 'You guys did awesome, but,' she points at Miss Mystery and I, 'you two need to settle your differences, someone could've gotten seriously hurt-'

We are interrupted by a siren and three police cars speeding into the large area we fought in. The policemen step out of his cars. Two of the police ran up to the unconscious members of the robber gang, and one ran up to us with his gun raised, we usually let The Elemental handle these sorts of things as she has dealt with police before from what we have heard, but I decide to step forward.

'Wh-Who-Why-What?' Stammers the obviously confused policeman, his gun hand wavering.

I look into his eyes, 'They robbed the place, we stopped them. No questions.'

Miss Mystery picks up her cat and we start to walk away when the policeman grabs me on the shoulder. 'Why?' He asks.

I look at the team for some advice on what to say when The Elemental just tilts her head in his direction with a look that says, 'your decision'.

'It was nothing?' I say, 'Just a service,'

We walk away.
