3 days later, Dipper returns to the forest just after lunch. He has done this every day since he and William had met. Hopeful that this would be the day, Dipper has gathered his courage to ask him out.

Sure enough, 10 minutes later William came walking down the path. "Hi, William!" Called Dipper, waving to make sure he saw him.

"Nice to see you again." Replies William, going up to Dipper.

Dipper nods in response, still trying to gather enough courage to ask him out.

"Are you alright?" William says.

He must have noticed the pause! Dipper thinks. He takes a deep breath to gather himself, though his voice betrays him and comes out shaky and stutter-y, "W-will you.. umm.. will you.. g-go on a uh.. d-date with me?" He sighs, blushing, and internally cringes at his nervousness.

William just smiles. "Of course," he simply says, adding, "I liked you too."

Dipper gives him an overjoyed look. "Really?"

William nods and says, "Meet me here tomorrow at noon. How does a picnic sound? You bring drinks, fruit, silverware, and plates. I'll bring sandwiches, cupcakes, and a blanket."

"That sounds amazing"

"Good. Then I'll see you tomorrow?"

Dipper nods and waves goodbye, excited for tomorrow.

The next day right after breakfast, Dipper gets everything ready. By 10 he has everything packed, and he sits on his bed rereading the journal to calm his nerves. A while later he decides Mabel would definitely want to hear about this, and he goes to find her and tell her the news.

"Mabel I have a date today at noon!" He blurts out when they're sitting on the floor in their room.

"That's great, Bro!" Says an excited Mabel, clapping. "Who is it??"

"H-he's a g-guy." Dipper stutters.

"You're gay?" Mabel Looks at him with wide-eyes.

"B-bi, actually. I still like girls too..."

Mabel gives her brother a hug. "I'm glad you told me, Dip."

Dipper hugs her back, a look of relief on his face.

"So... who?"

"A guy I met in the forest the other day. His name is William," he tells her, blushing at the thought of him

"I hope it turns out reeeeally good for you!" Mabel smiles, "But you should go soon. It's like past 11:45!"

Dipper looked at the clock, and sure enough, it was 11:47. "Alright. Bye Mabel!" He says, running out the door.

"Bye!"
