Training

Once peter set me down inside the.. Well hole. We stared into each others eyes for a moment and then he realized he was still holding on to me. I looked away and he set me down, to be honest, I didn't want him to.

There was a moment of silence until Melissa called Peter over by here, across the room. I could hear Melissa and Peter talking.

"I'm sorry Mel, I really thought it was going to be you. But I never even met her until today, and she is the most beautiful person I've even seen. I really am sorry. But it's not like I have a choice. I'm not the one who get to choose who I get to love.. You should have been expecting this. Fire and air really don't go together. Besides, I don't think you guys will be lesbian lovers.." Peter says and looks back at me.

"Yea I guess you'r right... I knew it wasn't me... But Peter you told her there were 4 of us... Are you ever going to tell her about Alex? She has the right to know and I can't play big sissy forever Peter... You have 3 days to tell her the truth before I do. And she won't want to hear it from me." Mel said, walking away.

Peter walks towards me,  "Let's get you started. Fallow me" he says still a little upset.

He led me over to a small table with a locket necklace on it.

"Turn around... This will help you control your elements when you yourself cant." he put the locket on me gently.

"Thanks...." I say and turn around only to meet his eyes again.

"I uhmm.. I.." he said, breaking the awkward stare.

"I think you should start with being able to escape and defend yourself before we start to practice your element. Incase theres another ambush, I want you to be safe incase I can't help you." he began to loose his thought because our eyes met again.

I just nod my head in approval.

"I'll uh... here" he said walking behind me to take the necklace off he had just put on me.

"Now it'll be easier." he said, jumping over to the table on the other side of the dome and jumping back. He just like flew the whole way, which was incredible. I don't know how he expects me to do that. I can't even jump a foot straight in the air let alone launch myself somewhere.

"Are you ready?? For the first time or two I'll guide you and we'll just go straight up and down until your comfortable doing it yourself." He said, grabbing me by the waste (me facing towards him).  "Ok..  Just jump like you would normally but, think high. I'll help you... I won't let you fall." He smirked a little, which made me melt on the inside.

I did what he told me to do and jumped up just in one spot. I got scared and hid my face in his chest. I don't know if that will make my weight go dead but I hoped not.

"You ok?" he looks at me once we land, while my face is still buried into his chest.

I nod and remove my head slowly "Yeah.. lets uh.. t-try it again" I tried to smile a little.

"Ok.. Do the same thing just, this time , try too keep your eyes open." He said, drawing all of my attention to him.

Once again I did what he said and kept my eyes open to. It was kinda cool to look down at something cause I'm so short. especially compared to Peter. He's like 7 inches taller than I am. Once we land we make a bunch of dust come up. The whole place is made of sand. Maybe because the lack of light and air flow, it was supper hot in here. I had to take my one shirt off before we did the next jump, leaving me in a tank top.

"Ok... were gonna try moving this time ok? We're going to jump just a few feet forward, we don't want to focus on height this time, it's getting to where you want to go"
