It was a rather gloomy evening complimented with the days woe; charcoal clouds in the sky, soft rain pouring down, kissing the rosy cheeks of our sweet Isabelle... Isabelle Guerrero. Her hair was a curly mess flowing down her back while her eyes were a delightful hazel; her personality was one that made you want to constantly be near her and her smile...god that smile was one that could melt your heart...But when she cried, the whole world stopped and cried with her and when she awoke with ink on her hands everyone shied away.
Isabelle was a simple girl with a simple life living here in Maine with her loving foster family in a cute little suburban home off in the mountains away from the constant chattering of a typical city life. It was a rather comforting thought to think that she was a mere person, speck in a world so large, a world with no control, no way to make it into a utopia of places, perfection.
Dressed in her rain boots and winter coat she continued to walk through the downpour although the rain only seemed to get harder as she trudged through the muddy trail up to her warm abode, it was honestly something she had gotten used to when making her journey back from school.
Everything seemed to be in the ordinary throughout her walk until a rectangular object laying face down in a puddle had caught her eye, it was no secret that she was in love with reading various books and novels, I guess you could say she was a little bit of a book nerd. But call it what you like, this poor book soaking in this murky water had called to her for help and she was going to pick up...if only I could stop her.
She quickly walked over to the fallen book and picked it up with pure curiosity spewing from her eyes which glanced carefully over the title of the book.
DEATH NOTE
I watched as her fingers trailed over the cover and finally met the edge to which she moved it back and was met with the disclaimer which she seemed to have simply glazed over, not even taking a chance to read what it had said, instead she looked up from the book and took a quick glance around before stuffing the book into her bag and continuing on with the journey, her path to her home, little did she know that she had just signed a deal with the devil himself, she had just changed the course of her own life and until she figures it out she walks blindly with the weapon of pure destruction...
I've seen it's power, I know what it can do to people, how it corrupts their mind...here I am retelling a story that pains me to even speak about...but it needs to be told so no one else has to suffer...they don't have to endure the misery this book can give it's beholder...
This is the story of how the life of your average Shinigami changed for better or worse and the painful truth that just because you have a beating heart doesn't always mean that you're living.
It just means you're alive.
