Dannys pov
I was stuck finishing up some paperwork so i had askes steve to go pick up grace from school, that was half an hour ago and i was felt as if something was wrong.

I picked up his phone and started to dial Steve's number.

"McGarrett...speak" Is all i heard, voicemail again.

My worry escalated but i tried to think positive.

Maybe Steve took Grace for ice cream and forgot his phone in the car.

That was the best case scenario anyways.

I couldn't help but think about the worst case scenario either and i hoped, no prayed it wouldn't come to that.

I once again picked up my phone and dialled Steve one more time only to be disappointed with no answer once again.

I sighed my my gut kept telling me something was wrong.

I tried to concentrate on my paperwork again but i couldn't.

I saw Chin come to my door and nod for him to come in, my gut flipling at the look of fear on his face, i knew now something was wrong.

"Hey Chin, what's up?" I asked.

"That was Duke, i got some bad news Danny" he said clearly trying to hide the concern and fear in his voice.

"What Chin? What happened?" I asked standing up behind from behind my desk.

I just knew it had something to do with Steve and Grace, the fact that Steve wasn't answering his phone and they were now half an hour late.

"There's.... there's been an accident Danny" He said and cleared his throat.

"Chin tell me, is Grace okay?" I asked already heading for the door.

"A SUV collided with Steve and Grace on the way back from school, they were on the way to Kamekona's according to witnesses after the collision the other car stopped and they...... said a little girl had got out the passenger seat of your car and they um they jad grabbed her when sje got out and wen't speeding off with her I'm sorry Danny" He said placing a hand on my shoulder.

I tensed and my heart dropped.

"NoNoNo! Not Grace!...wait? you said she got out passenger seat?" I asked.

"Ya, she did or so witnesses said" Chin said.

"Grace was never supposed to be in the passenger seat Steve knew this, oh my god its his fault!" I said.

tears building up in my eyes Steve put my daughter's life at risk and now she is missing.

20 minutes later
We get to the crash site, i didn't say a word during the ride here and i hadn't even bothered to ask Chin how Steve was right now all i cared about was my daughter.

I got out the car and All i could see is the wreck that was once my car, the damage was mostly on the driver's side.

I could also see all the flashing lights of ambulances and firetrucks and HPD cars.
