Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Stars

Chapter 2

Skittle smiled when she saw Zero walk out of the hut. "So, you ready to see the village?" Skittle asked.

"Yeah," Zero said, nodding, "I am."

Skittle smiled, "Well then, follow me." She lead Zero to a shop with two Kecleon, one purple, one green, working behind the counter. "This is the Kecleon Market," She said, "It's run by the Kecleon Brothers Vio and Viridian. You can tell which one's which by their color as that's where the name's came from."

The green Kecleon spotted Skittle and smiled, "Ah, young Skittle~! What may I assist you with?"

"Nothing this time Viridian," Skittle replied, "I'm showing a new friend around." Viridian nodded and went back to work. Skittle looked at Zero and motioned him to follow her as she walked to another building with a Persian behind the counter.

"Hello Skittle," The Persian said with a smile, "Who's your new friend?"

"This is Zero," Skittle replied, "I'm showing him around the village." She then turned to Zero, "This is Lily, she runs the bank here as well as a few other places though that's through Storage Boxes or Kangaskhan Rocks."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Zero," Lily said, "I'll be happy to hold onto any Poke you and Skittle obtain. Though..." Her eyes grew cold, "If you hurt little Skittle, I will hunt you down."

Zero gulped loudly and Skittle giggled. "Don't worry about her Zero," Skittle said, "Lily's been like a big sister to me while I grew up so she's a little protective."

Lily's eyes softened and she smiled, "She's right. We aren't related but I still consider her to be my little sis. And don't worry about what I said, I was merely joking. You seem like a really nice Pokemon."

"Th-thanks..." Zero said with a small smile. Skittle smiled as well as the two walked on to the last building in the area. Said building had a Kangaskhan working behind it's counter, sorting items and making sure everything is in order. She smiled when she saw Skittle and Zero approaching and dusted herself off as they reached the counter.

"Ah, Skittle!" The Kangaskhan said, "You're looking well today! Who's your friend?"

"Thanks Auntie Khan!" Skittle said, "This is Zero. He's new so I'm showing him around town." She then turned to Zero, "This is Kangaskhan, or as I call her, Auntie Khan being she's like an aunt to me. She runs the Kangaskhan Storage."

"That's right~!" Khan said with a smile, "I'll happily hold on to any items you need stored. And... Huh?" She noticed something happening at the Kecleon store, "Hmm... Seems like the brothers are upset..."

Skittle nodded and turned to Zero, "Why don't we see what's the problem?" Zero nodded and the two walked back over to the shop, "Hey Viridian, what's wrong?"

Viridian looked at Skittle and sighed, "My brother Vio seems to have lost a TM in a Dungeon on the way back here..."

Vio sighed, "It's a shame too... I worked really hard to get it..."

"Maybe me and Zero could get it," Skittle said.

Vio looked at her, "Really...? It'd be rather dangerous if you do..."

Skittle nodded, "Yep! Where's the Dungeon?"

"It's deeper in the forest that the Dungeon you went to yesterday is," Vio replied, "Please be careful... I'd hate for you to get hurt."

Skittle nodded and looked at Zero, "Shall we get going?"

"Yeah," Zero said, nodding, "Let's go." The two then started off to the Dungeon, soon reaching it. When they did, Skittle took a deep breath and entered, Zero following. As Vio had said, it was dangerous but the Pokémon there were mostly Bellsprout, Gloom, and Oddish and weren't that much stronger than the Pokémon from the previous Dungeon as long as they didn't gang up on Skittle and Zero. This allowed the two to level up twice by the time they reached the 6th floor.
