Alec P.O.V

I looked over to see Madison smiling softly, but her smile doesn't reach her eyes. She had taken me to a fair and we were now heading home. Her blue eyes look so sad and lonely. She is smiling and laughing but she has her walls up. I look at her blue eyes looking so lonely. Ever since I had laid eyes on her, I can't see anyone else. Her blue eyes that shine so brightly. I can't seem to take my eyes off her.

Her pink plump lips that drives me crazy. Her creamy skin, soft and smooth. The little freckles on her cheeks. Especially, the freckle on her right cheek that is shaped like a tiny heart. She was incredible. She made time stop, she was perfect. Some may classify her as a damsel in distress. How wrong they are! She isn't a damsel in distress, she is a soldier. She isn't like any other girl I know. My father always said that he knew that my mother was the one as soon as he laid his eyes on her. I always wondered how could anyone be so sure, but maybe he's right.

I look over at her, just in time to see a small smile playing on her lips as she watched a little girl wave. She makes a turn and parks her car. We get out of the car. She sighs and the small smile disappears. She has a frown on her face, now. She looks so tired, as if she is carrying the whole weight of world upon her shoulders. "Alec?" her musical voice brings me back, out of my thoughts. "We need to talk." she says, her voice trembles ever so slightly.

I follow her into the house. We enter her bedroom, she closes the door behind her. She faces me and gives me the saddest smile. "Alec, I'm letting you go back to your world. I'm sorry for keeping you here. I guess I took advantage of your kindness." she says, breaking the silence. What on earth does she mean? "Madison, stop. I know I'm being selfish, but I want to stay with you right now." I replied. earnestly.

"Stop being kind to me. I-I know that you just . . ." she trails off, her eyes filling up with tears. I move closer to her and pull her into my arms. "You are better than you think. You are worth more than this. Madison, please don't push me away." I whispered. I watch a tear makes its way down her cheek. She turns to me and simply says, "Why me?" The question breaks me. Why not? I cannot even think of a reason for her to be unworthy. She is stronger than she thinks. If only she would see herself, the way I do.

"Madison, you're perfect. How could it not be you?" I said, gazing into her eyes. If I could, I would let her see herself through my eyes to see how amazing she is. She sobs into my shoulder, her arms wrapping around my neck. I tighten my arms around her as she lets it out. After a few minutes, she stops crying and sits in my arms. I am playing with a stray strand of her hair.

"Alec?" she whispers, brokenly. She bits her lip, nervously.
"I killed my father." she mumbles, her eyes holding so much pain and suffering. I wait for her say another word. She looks at my face and continues, "I was about six years old, it was my birthday. I asked my dad to get me some ice cream. We w-waited for hours, my mother and I. Then we received a call that my dad was run over by a car and that he d-didn't make it. My mother was just . . . I broke her. She no longer smiles and I constantly remind her of my dad. I killed my parents because of . . . Because I wanted some i-ice cream." she says in a broken whisper. She looks at me with such sad tears.

"Now that you know my past, you will leave." she said, tears sliding down her smooth cheeks. How dare anyone blame such a thing? Who in the right mind does this to a little girl? How selfish is her mother? I battled with my urge to burst out in rage. "Stop." I said, placing my hand on her tearstained cheek. She looks at me with surprise. "Don't ever blame yourself. You couldn't have killed your father. You can let go, your mother lost her husband but you lost him as well. You lost your father." I said, stroking her cheek with my thumb. She was opening up to me, revealing her true colours.

"Alec." She says, and she lets out her grief. She buries her face onto my shoulder. She holds onto me so tightly as if I would disappear if she didn't. The pain in her blue eyes in unbearable. I looked at her beautiful blue eyes and before I knew what was happening, I found myself kissing her soft pink lips.

I was lost with her. There was nothing else on my mind. There was only me and her. Everything else just faded into the background.
