Bluepulse coming out

The mission was a success. There were almost no complications, and the tornado twins were back in belle reef. The team was arriving at the cave in mount justice. Miss Martian was, as usual, piloting her bioship. The young heroes were relieved that everything went well. Well, almost all of them were. Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse and Jaime Reyes, the third blue beetle, were as nervous as before the mission had started. Bart was chewing his lips and folding his hands awkwardly. Jaime wasn't feeling any better. He took a deep, calming breath and prayed that everything would go well. He gave Bart a encouraging smile and continued to strike his thumb. The team was walking cheering into the living room. Garr  had planed a movie night, and Zatanna was looking forward to try a new cooking recipe with M'gann. Bart and Jaime were about to turn this normal evening into an... interesting one. It was kind of ironic, Jaime thought. They all had fought so many battles, against aliens and all kinds of meta humans and robots, and yet something so seemingly insignificant like his sexuality was making him question their acceptans torwards him and Bart. Yes, he and the red speedster were together for nearly three months now. It had all started out as a friendship, innocent and unsuspecting anything...more from each other. But soon, that affection for one another blossomed into a relationship between two lovers. Jaime remembered everything about that, and as he thought about these times, his lips turned upward. How their hands were touching. How he realized that he didn't mind it, and that he started noticing how cute Bart's smile was. How he fell asleep leaning against Jaime's shoulder while they were watching TV. How Bart confessed his feelings for Jaime, and how relieved he was that those feelings were mutual. Their first official date. How Bart gave him flowers. Their first kiss. And that Jaime realized that he was gay and how suddenly so many things made finally sense. Bart told him that he was pansexual. He himself had just recently discovered that he never payed attention to the gender when it came to potential lovers.
Bart nervously licked over his lips. He really hoped the others would understand. He knew he wouldn't be able to stand it if the Team would reject him. The only people who knew about his sexuality were Barry, the Reyes and Kahji da. The bug wasn't even fazed by the fact that Bart was pan (I do not understand why humans would reject one of their own because they declare a certain sexuality socialy unacceptable            or-quote-"wrong"). It is such a waste of resources.) They had accepted him and Jaime immediatly. But he had been to scared to tell anyone else. Now, that time seemed to come closer.
Jaime stepped a little closer to Bart and grabbed his hand behind his back.
"You ready, carińo?" 
Bart nodded.
Jaime cleared his throad. Then he spoke up:
"Everybody listen: Bart and I have something to say."
Everyone looked up. Garr, Superboy and Artemis were looking curious, but Nightwing and L'gaan looked concerned.
Jaime swallowed.
"We hope that this new information about us won't chance the way you think about us...But it's time that you find out. Bart and I.. We.. We're.."
"We are in a relationship."
Jaime was surprised how calm and steady Bart's voice sounded. Bart let his behind his back crossed hand fall in between his and Jaime's torso. Now everyone could see them holding hands. Jaime was still wearing his armor. He didn't feel like exposing himself more to the team than necessary.
They were both holding their breath and waiting for a reaction. They all looked pretty surprised.
Nightwing was the first to say something.
"It took a lot of courage to say that. I'm glad that you two found out and told us."
Miss Martian was the next to comment.
"Just know, it doesn't chance the way we think of you. We won't treat you any diffrent because of your sexuality."
"And we'll still support you." L'gaan added.
Tim nodded. "We won't judge someone because of their sexuality. You won't have to fear discrimination from us."
Wondergirl chuckled."We'll have one team member more when we face Queen Bee again."
Jaime and Bart had never felt such relieve before. They felt like a giant weight had been lifted from them. It was a wonderful feeling not having to  hide something so big from their team mates and friends anymore. And that they finally could hold hands when they felt like it.
Jaime and Bart both felt really ecstatic the next days.
