"Dean?" I asked in horror. I stood in the doorway, seeing Dean crumpled on the floor. And Sam. Oh Sam!
Dean turned around and ran at me with his angel blade. With any other human, even with one of my own, I would defend myself. But I couldn't hurt Dean, not again.
"You could have saved him!!! You could have if you'd just come when I called you. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't end your pathetic little life right here you Son of a Bitch!"
I stared into his eyes. Those green, wondrous eyes, now swimming in the tears that shouldn't be there. That I caused.
"I'm sorry Dean. But I can fix this." I said calmly. And I could. Sam was most likely in heaven at this moment, meaning it would be impossible to get to him. But I could switch places with him. It would make me human, and if he was in Hell it would be an unbearable amount of pain. But I'll do it, I'll do anything not to see those tears again.
"Shield your eyes, Dean," I said softly. Dean stepped back, shielding his eyes. The ritual has begun.
