Regal Academy - The Legend of the Mermaid

Chapter 1 - The Legend

19 August, 1578

It was a stormy and windy night, the tides were unbearable. All the fishermen struggled to tie the ropes (to prevent the boats from floating away) as the waters were rocking back and forth.

Clothes were easily blown off and everyone were rolling around the hard floor. Roofs from houses broke into tiny pieces.

Then came the worst part, there was a tsunami. Everyone there took cover.

<The next morning...>

Professional Builders were summoned by the King to rebuild the houses in the village.

Fortunately, food was not a problem.

After the tsunami, fishes were washed off the sea and onto land. Fishermen were overjoyed and started to gather all the fishes.

When Lord Walter and his Guards are checking the damaged area, they noticed something glowing in the cave. They then went to check it out.

When they found their answer, they could not believe their eyes. Laying on rocks was a beautiful mermaid. Her blonde hair was shining like the sun and the pink scales on her tail matched the colour of the seashells.

Lord Walter: "Are you seeing what I am seeing?!"

Guard: "Yes, my Lord."

Lord Walter: "It's a real life mermaid!"

The Mermaid stared at them with a tired and worried look on her face.

Lord Walter: "Quick, take this Mermaid to the Royal cell and rest her tail in a bucket of water. Also make sure she don't not escape."

Guard: "Right away, my Lord."

<At the castle>

It was already sun down, the King hosted a dinner party with all the royal people in the country.

At the table, Everyone was talking among themselves.

Lord Walter: "Your highness."

King Harry: "Yes, Lord Walter?"

Lord Walter: "Remember the tsunami that occurred the previous night?"

King Harry: "I have not forgotten about it."

Lord Walter: "When I was at the beach, I discovered something very interesting in a cave..."

King Harry: "Go on..."

Lord Walter: "It was a Mermaid!"

King Harry laughed.

King Harry: "A Mermaid? *Laughs* This must be a joke!"

Lord Walter: "I am telling you, your highness! It was a real life Mermaid!"

King Harry: "If you say this Mermaid is true, then show me this creature."
