Chapter 11 - The Feelings

<The following day...>

Hawk's Pov

Hawk was busy reading his reports when suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Ling Ling entered the room.

Ling Ling: "Hawk?"

Hawk: "Yes, Ling Ling?"

Ling Ling: "Your Lord Brother asked me to get you. He wants to speak to you."

Hawk put down his papers and walked over to Ling Ling.

Hawk: "Very well, take me to him."

Ling Ling: "Of course, sir."

<In the throne room....>

Hawk and Ling Ling entered the castle's throne room. Hak (Hawk's older Brother and King of Clarines) sat on the throne while waiting for their arrival.

Ling Ling immediately bowed to Hak.

Ling Ling: "Your majesty, Hawk is here to speak to you."

Hak grinned.

Hak: "Thank you, Ling Ling, you may leave now."

Ling Ling went out of the room.

Hawk: "You called me, Brother?"

Hak: "Indeed, I did."

Hak walked down the stairs and stood right in front of hawk.

Hak: "Lets have a chat, please have a seat."

Hawk and Hak sat down at the table which was located at the side of the room.

A servant came up to them and pour a glass of red wine for both of them. The servant left them alone.

Hak: "How is work going for you, Hawk?"

Hak pick up his glass and sip on his wine.

Hawk: "Tiring but I can handle it."

Hak: "Good to know."

Hak played with his glass of wine in his hand.

Hak: "So Hawk, about this Rose girl..."

Hawk frowned a little as he started at Hak.

Hawk: "What about her?"

Hak: "I don't know if this is true but...are you developing feelings for her?"

Hawk was shocked but he tried to keep his cool.

Hawk: "What makes you say that?"

Hak smirked.

Hak: "You have been so attached to her lately...and I have never seen you so close to a woman before..."

Hawk: "I-I...Rose and I are just close friends."

Hak raised an eyebrow.

Hak: "Oh really?"

Hawk clenched his fists.

Hawk: "Is this what you wanted to talk to me about, Brother?"
