The next day, we went to the Great Hall once again. This time, they all gave us our schedule and said we’re going to take a trip to Diagon Alley, so we could get our stationery for school. They also told us that we would each get a pet.
We got dressed. Everyone was wearing the black Hogwarts robes and the scarf.
“Hi guys, wanna get go together?” asked Liam, Niall and Zayn, running towards us. “Of course!” we both replied.
Paul came to me and said he’d help us too. “Um…so…..basically….” I started then Louis finished, “We just need to get everything on the list.” Paul nodded and we all went to Diagon Alley, taking a short way, which involved brick walls and using magic to get through them.
Louis was running around everywhere and so was Niall.
As we walked down Diagon Alley with Paulgrid, all the boys kept shouting out places we should go first. Louis really wanted to go get our pets while Niall was suggesting we stop at to pick up some sweets. Soon enough, they were fighting over where to go first.
I could see that they were getting on Paul's nerves and me and the boys had to resist the urge to laugh.
Finally Paul snapped. "SHUT UP! It’s like I'm babysitting...” He rubbed his hands over his face before snatching a list out of Niall's hand. "I’ll make a deal with you boys, if you promise to stop fighting. I’ll get everything for you lads okay? All you'll have to go get is your pets and your wands. I’ll get the rest and meet you back in here in a few hours.” We all nodded and were pleased with the arrangement.
Paul grabbed Liam’s shoulder, "Seeing as you're the only level headed one, I trust you to keep them out of trouble." Liam promised he would before Paul took off.
"Alright then, let's go get some pets!" Liam cheered. We all nodded except for Niall, who stomped his foot and began to pout.
Zayn raised his eyebrow in amusement. "I've never seen anybody do that in real life, I thought it was only something girls did in movies...”
Lou and I barked out with laughter as Niall glared at Zayn. He looked like a child, it was quite amusing, but he was adorable at the same time.
"Li! I want to go get candy first!" He whined.
Liam shook his head. "Niall, you ate before we left."
Niall eye widen. "That was nearly an hour ago!" He protested. I had to bit my cheek to keep from laughing at his 'argument'. Poor boy, it really wasn't helping his case.
Liam was starting to give in, Niall knew that. His pout grew as did his eyes. "Please Li! Please" he pleaded.
Liam finally nodded and Niall started chanting yes. His Irish accent was heavy with his excitement. He grabbed our arms dragging in to the store before he proceeded to go crazy.
After an hour, Niall had managed to buy three bags worth of Candy. He would have bought more to if it wasn't Zayn physically carrying him out of the store.
Louis grinned. "Next stop pets!"
The boys walked through Diagon Alley making their way towards the pet shop. When they got there Liam announced that he was going to buy a turtle and dragged Niall off to look at them. Zayn took off to go look at what they offered. So that left Lou and I together. Louis decided he wanted a bird and demanded I help him.
Harry was looking at all the different type of birds when he heard Lou scream.
"KEVINNNNNNN!"
"Kevin?" I said confused? "Who's Kevin?"
He pointed to a pigeon in the cage. "Him. He is my birdie and I shall call him Kevin."
I shook my head, "alright then Lou... Why don't you bond with Kevin and I’ll go find my own pet.." He nodded happily.
A few minutes later, I decided the perfect animal would be a cat. I always loved cats. There were about six of them in the store, but there was one that I really liked. It was white and had blue eyes. It was very chubby, but the beautiful kind. “I’m going to name you Dusty.” I told her.
Liam and Louis came back and they both had their animals. “Where are Zayn and Niall?” All we heard was ‘awww’ from Liam, we all turned around and we saw Nialler with a monkey and Zayn had a dog.
“Ew get that away from me!” said Louis immediately.
“He looks like a burnt marshmallow, doesn’t he?” asked Niall, looking at all of us.
“Oh Nialler, we aren’t surprised you had to relate that to food..” I said right away.
“BUT HE DOES!” he said with a cute face.
“Niall you can’t just say that a dog looks like a burnt marshmallow just because you love food.” Liam protested. “He’s right though...” said Louis. “What’s the name?” I said, looking at the dog, terrified at how it was looking at us, as if he understood our conversation about him.
“Boris.” He said, petting the dog.
Liam who was playing with Niall’s monkey, George said, “Boris and Archimedes are the names of my turtles!”
“Can we please get a snack now that we got our pets?” asked Niall, looking at the floor, a bit embarrassed.
“Nialler…” said Louis. “No, it’s okay…actually I’m a bit hungry too.” Said Liam.
We walked out of the shops, with our animals in the cages and we saw Harry walk in with a boy and three girls.
“Hi, I’m Hermione, that’s Ron and those two girls are Maddy and Sunny.”
All three girls were looking at us, like little kids stare at candy when they go to the store.
“This is awkward, let’s go.” Said Liam immediately.
