Chapter 1
"Kaitlyn, wake up, honey" My mother shouted to me from downstars. It was 7 am.
Today was the day, the day I was finally going to meet my idol: Hunter Hayes. You see, I entered a contest at my local country radio station to win a private meet and greet with Hunter before his Houston, Texas show along with tickets to the show. I could bring one person with me, and I chose my best friend, Haley. I got the call about two weeks ago saying that I had won! And I may have played it cool on the phone, but I may have ran upstairs and screamed at the top of my lungs out of my bedroom window.
As I went downstairs, the smell of fresh pancakes, bacon, and eggs filled the air, just a typical Saturday morning.
I sat down at the table and my mother placed a plate in front of me and then got one for herself and sat down. "So are you excited about tonight, sweetie?" My mother asked me. "Oh yeah, I can not believe I am actually going to meet Hunter Hayes!" "That's great, sweet pea, now finish up your food and don't forget to go and do your chores. Then, why don't you call Haley and invite her over to get ready with you?" "Really ma? I asked."Sure, now finish up"
I finished up my breakfast, and then I went out to the barn to do my usual chores (feed the animals, clean the stalls, brush the horses and all that fun stuff). Then I went inside and called Haley to invite her over.
When Haley arrived, we spent about three hours fangirling over Hunter and predicting his set for the concert tonight before we finally decided to get ready. I kept my makeup very simple with a little foundation, powder, a rosy pink blush, a tiny bit of eye liner, and some mascara. I kept my hair very simple as well. Since I was blessed with long, reddish brown, wavy hair, I kept it natural but fixed up a few strands with a very large curling iron. Haley went for a more dramatic makeup look, with a brown smokey eye and bright lips. She has medium length, bleach blonde hair that she decided to curl into beautiful, tight ringlets. Now to decide what to wear...
Since Haley and I both had matching Hunter Hayes shirts, we decided to wear those. I chose my favourite Hollister, medium wash, skinny jeans and my favourite cowboy boots and I paired it with the hoodie I got for being a member of my school's concert band. Since Haley is a bit more girlier than me, she chose some dark wash cuffed denim shorts and some pink flats as well as a plain black blazer.
I offered to drive Haley and I to the concert in my Ford pickup truck. We blasted my Hunter Hayes CD the whole ride there and we had a blast.
As we approched the building that we were going to meet Hunter in, I began to feel a bit nervous. I had butterflies in my stomach. What if he dosen't like me? Do I look okay? Is my hair alright? Do I have something in my teeth? Will he like me? These questions wondered around in my head...
Author's Note:
Hey guys! Thank you so much for reading my first chapter, I hope you liked it! I'm sorry this chapter was kind of boring, but it has to be written. I promise the next chapter will be better, because that will be when Kaitlyn and Hunter meet for the first time.
