Dean got behind the wheel of his beloved Impala while Sam got into the passenger seat next to him. It was just before 5 in the morning and Dean wanted to leave as fast as he could so he could avoid running into the girls before they left. Dean then started the Impala up and a wide grin stretched from ear to ear on his face.
"Well Sammy, looks like that turned out better than we've hoped for." Dean said while looking over towards Sam that looked a bit agitated.
"Yeah I guess it did..." He started to say and Dean frowned.
"What's up with you?" He asked and Sam tried avoiding eye contact with him.
"Just drive." He mumbled under his breath and Dean shrugged off Sam's weird behavior before driving.
They drove in silence in the cold morning as Dean started to feel proud of himself that he ditched the girls while they were sleeping. It's not that he doesn't like the girls it was just that he liked working alone and looking out for one person was already more than enough for him let alone three.
As they drove Sam kept looking out of his passenger side window in deep thought while Dean just focused on the road. About an hour's drive in, Dean got a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach as if something wasn't right. He looked over towards Sam who was still in deep thought staring out the window and frowned slightly. Dean then turned his gaze back to the road and felt the hairs stand on the back of his neck as he felt a breeze blowing against his skin softly.
"Think you could get rid of us that easily?" A familiar voice whispered right next to his ear which startled Dean and caused him to swerve the car.
Dean then made the car screech to a halt in the middle of the road and turned around to see Dylan and Lux sitting in the back seat of his car. Dylan had an amused smirk on her face while Lux had a straight face knowing Dean was pissed off.
"Are you crazy?! I could've gotten us all killed right now!" Dean growled and Dylan just raised her eyebrow.
"Yeah, well that wouldn't have happened if you didn't decide to just abandon us and stick to our agreement, now would it?" Dylan pointed out still smirking which made Dean's blood boil.
"You think this is funny?" Dean said, the atmosphere drastically becoming more serious.
"Yes Dean, I think it's fucking hilarious that you were planning on ditching us." Dylan said sarcastically her smirk vanishing from her lips.
"Why can't you just except the fact that Sam and I work alone. One hunt was more than enough, we don't need your help. We are perfectly fine doing this hunt on our own!" Dean said and the whole car was silent.
Lux felt the tension getting heavier and shared a sympathetic look with Sam before turning to look at Dylan. She just sat there staring at Dean with a stone hard face and a cold expression. Lux knew that Dean pushed a button that he shouldn't have pushed and that she was pissed off at him too.
"Listen here Dean," Dylan started causing everyone's gazes to shift towards her. " Let me let you in on a little secret. You know Lux and I are very good hunters as you've seen. I understand that you and your brother work alone, it's cute that you do and everything, but here's the thing Dean. To be able to go hunt I need a car and should I remind you what you did to my car?"
"You can always borrow a car from Bobby, what's the fuss in that?" Dean asked and Dylan glared at him.
"Because you wrecked my car Dean so you should actually have more respect towards me and pay off your debt!" Dylan snapped and Dean clenched his jaw.
"I am in no debt to-" Dean started but Sam cut him off.
"Dean just stop. Dylan has a point. You drove her car into a wall. I think the least you can do is just drop your attitude and let them join on the hunt." Sam said and Dean didn't even look at his little brother.
