Elizabeth's POV:
I knew he wouldn't come out but if he doesn't he's gonna starve! I was leaning on the door when I heard Meliodas sobbing. It wasn't that loud but it sounded close. He's sitting right on the other side of this door. Just like me. He wants to come out I know it but he can't. He doesn't feel like he belongs here but he does. Zeldris is his family no matter what.
"Meliodas, please open the door"
"I-I cant"
"Please, it's only me here. I just want to help you"
"I can't face you"
"Why Meli? Tell me. You know I won't judge you" he didn't answer
"I'm not going to tell anyone what you say if you just let me in, I need you to bring down your barrier and let us, no me, help you" a few minutes of silence was all that answered me. Until the unbelievable happened. I heard the door unlock. I stood up and opened it and as soon as I did, he dived into my arms for a hug and started to cry.
I closed the door and we sat against it. He didn't say anything to me. The only thing he did was cry into me.
"Tell me what's wrong Meliodas. U want to help you but to do that you need to tell me exactly what your thoughts are" he told me about how he felt like he was all alone and how he didn't feel like he could face anyone because if it.
"What about Zeldris? Your killing him by not letting him help. He still loves you Meliodas"
"But our relationship has been a lie. We aren't brothers and I thought we were. For sixteen years. I just..." he cried
"Meliodas, Zeldris told me that he would protect you after you moved and that he hated your mother for not telling you about this. But he wants to help you. I'll leave you alone but I promise i won't tell anyone" I stood up and opened the door.
He looked like he wanted me to stay but I need him to think about what I said. Especially about Zeldris. I wasn't lying. Zeldris cares even more about Meliodas now that they know.
It was not long after I left Meliodas that Zeldris came back with blankets and sat down beside me. He said that we would stay here until Meliodas came out.
Time skip
It's been almost five hours and he hadn't said anything to us! Im glad i fot that confession from him but still. Zeldris looks so tired but he refuses to go to sleep. I was slowly falling asleep until I was forced awake by screaming. It was Meliodas. Zeldris stood up and started banging on the door. In the end he just kicked it down. Meliodas was asleep on his bed. He was sweating but didn't have a pulse.
"Zeldris what is going on?" I asked
"I....don't know. He has no pulse but he's sweating and gripping the bedsheets"
"Let's try wake him up" Zeldris went over and started to shake him while I was calling his name. Nothing worked. Zeldris let him go and started to cry.
"It's all my fault"
"No its not Zeldris"
"Yes it is! I told Alvah that i couldn't find Meliodas! That's why you two were separated!"
"That's not your fault, you were just worried about him"
"No! It is my fault! I shouldn't have said anything!" He cried. A minute passed and a voice called out to him.
"It's not your fault Zeldris"
Nobody else was in the room apart from Meliodas. I looked at him and saw him sitting up. Zeldris lifted his head and dived into Meliodas' arms.
