Taehyung's eyes focused on everything but Jungkook, looking for answers on the floor, hoping it would give him some sort of sign. But of course he knew that wouldn't work. Taehyung took a deep breath before opening his mouth to speak again, but Jungkook beat him to the punch.
"I know what you're going to say ... you never want to see me again. Well I say I'd hate that but I realize it's a decision you must make by yourself, without the influence of me trying to make you feel guilty." Jungkook assumed, he was correct. Taehyung wanted so badly to tell him they could never see each other again, but he didn't follow his thoughts, he followed something else.
"Joohyuk ... would hate to see us like this ... he always told me he was envious of our relationship and how close we were. I couldn't ... we couldn't let him down when this involves him too, could we?" Jungkook had noticed Taehyung using past tense to describe them, meaning something did change, something big that no longer brought the two together. The question on both of their minds was, could they ever accept something like this that dug such a deep hole within their relationship?
"Taehyung ... I don't want to see you hurting anymore and I don't want to be the reason. When I left for Japan your mom would text me, telling me to return home, home where you are. But I didn't listen, I couldn't. She was worried about you for a long time. She said you'd go out drinking, making new friends, but those friends would badly influence you to do things. I've never known you to be like that."
"I guess you didn't really know me at all." Taehyung put up his walls again, blocking to not let Jungkook in again, thinking he'd get hurt all over again. Jungkook's face changed as he started to worry more if Taehyung was really coping with it.
"You're making me worry more, what's wrong?" Jungkook feared the answer, knowing it would be because of him.
"Who are you to worry about me? You come back after 10 years expecting me to forgive you, you're right, I do blame you, but I don't blame you for the accident. I blame you for leaving me to deal with it on my own. You left me when I really needed you, when I needed a shoulder to cry on. Someone to lie to me saying 'it will be okay' but you weren't there to do that." Taehyung was doing the same to Jungkook, turning his back. Before Taehyung could even realize what he was saying Jungkook took a step back, near to the bench.
"You say you needed someone ... but you don't realize how strong you already are, Taehyung. Things happen in which you can't control them, you can't decide what happens. But you can decide how to deal with that, how to move on. You've done great already, you didn't need anyone. Time heals everything, but I'm sorry I wasn't here to guide your healing. I'm sorry Taehyung." Jungkook's words really meant something to Taehyung in that moment, seconds of silence waved over them both, but it was peaceful. Taehyung had finally let time heal his wounds and he's ready to take the next step out of healing.
"Jungkook..." Taehyung's face shifted to look at him, Jungkook looked in his direction taking his hands out of his pockets, gazing at Taehyung's sparkling eyes, the sunlight was hitting them beautifully making his skin glow and eyes look like a galaxy.
