{The thing up top is all the characters in the book. It's also my background. Is it wrong I'm in love with it? 😂}
Sara's POV:
What is my flesh and blood doing? Those faces are priceless! Pure gold! I wish I had a camera to capture this moment.
"Thank you very much little girl. It helped. Now for my next trick, I will make a rabbit appear out of the hat." The magician grins but gives Andreea a concerned look.
Andreea jumps off the stage and runs towards us. "We have a really big problem." She hisses. She looks very worried, but I'm not sure what exactly she's worried about. I mean, we escaped the beast, right?
"Yeah, we do. We have to fix your face! The looks you make are terrible!" Stephanie giggles.
"Mr. Grey White Fierce is here!" Andreea whispers in a very worried tone.
Well then. I guess that explains all the worry.
"He is?!" I say as shock flows through me. "This is bad. This is really, really bad."
"This may be bad, Sara. But I think we should focus why he is here of all places. He said he needed to go somewhere that was OUT of town, not in it," Stephanie thinks aloud. "If you ask me there's something fishy going on and we need to investigate."
"STEPHANIE! ANDREEA! SARA! LISA!" Mr. Grey White Fierce howls.
"RUN!" I yell.
"Go, go, go!" Andreea rushes.
"We need to stay here and find out why he's here! We can't just run away!" Stephanie complains.
"We don't have time. This may be the only chance we have at escaping." I say as we all sprint.
"And this may be the only chance in finding out why he's here!"
"We HAVE to escape, Steph. It's top priority."
She takes in a deep breath. "Fine. But how can we escape? He's too fast. He'll catch you three in no time!"
Let's just say Steph is the fastest at everything, running included. She's like a dragon only in human form without the wings and scales. She doesn't get tired, which is pretty impressive. Lisa, Andreea, and I, on the other, are pretty slow. I can run for a pretty long time, though.
"Leave it to me."
What to do. What to do. What. To. Do?
Nature! That's it! That's what we need! Help from nature, my BHB! (BHB = Best Helpful Bud) But what? Oh, of course! "Scented flowers!" I yell.
I should've done tornado or something. Oh well. Hopefully the flowers have something in mind.
My green necklace starts to glow.
Hmm, that hasn't happened before.
"What?! Scented flowers? For what our funeral?" Lisa yells. She sounds scared. Like super scared, but mixed in with a little bit of sarcasm.
Then all of a sudden, the flowers started to squirt liquids onto us and the scenery literally changed.
"What? Did we lose him?" Stephanie huffs. She sniffs herself and grimaces. "Ew, we smell like flowers barfed all over us."
"I think we did," Lisa says panting. She sniffs herself, too. "You're right, we do."
"Guys, I think we have a problem." I say as I look around at the area. "Where are we?"
"What do you mean? Aren't we in the forest behind the circus?"
"If we were, wouldn't we see or at least hear Mr. Grey White Fierce? And do you really think it would've changed right before our eyes?"
"This looks like one of the places from my dreams," Andreea awes.
"Wait, you mean we just somehow poofed into something that looks like one of you crazy dreams?!" Lisa yells. "What if we never get out? What if we're stuck here forever? I'm to young to die!"
"What makes you say we're going to die?" I ask. Aren't we just in the same realm, just in a different part of it?
"Well for starters, we're in the middle of nowhere. I think. Second, the wind sounds a bit off so that means I'm probably going crazy. But that was bound to happen sooner or later. And third, we. Are. Lost. Maybe? But other than that, we're going to be fine, Sara. Thanks for asking," Stephanie smirks sarcastically.
"Okay... not exactly what I meant. But I do agree with you on this, Stephanie. I too hear weird noises, so you're not going crazy. Yet," I say.
But something's off, it's quiet. This place is weird, yet I'm not sure why. I'm getting strange vibes from this place.
"What do you mean by weird, Sara?" a strange, female voice cackles. "Don't you like it here? I find it quite rude calling someone's home weird."
"Who goes there?" Stephanie questions with a lot of courage in her voice.
The voice chuckles. "Who am I?! Why I am Skylar Jones, keeper of secrets and master of trickery. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Stephanie Hunter. Now you may be wondering why I am here." She claps and it turns dark. Then a light flashes on a beautiful woman wearing only red and white. "I'm here to collect what is rightfully mine: your powers."
"Powers? What powers? No one here has powers," Stephanie hisses.
She snorts. "Do you take me as a fool? I know you have them. Where do you get your power from, what is the source?" The beautiful woman turns into a vicious monster that is white and has blood gurgling out of her mouth. "What you are seeing now is an image of some of your worst nightmares. It's a weakness, correct? Tell me where they are, or I'll have to trap you in your worst nightmare."
"She's telling the truth," Lisa shyly says.
The monster stares at Lisa and she soon disappears.
"What did you do with her?!" Andreea yells.
"I took her to her worst nightmare." Skylar smirks.
A monster smirking. Now that's something you don't see everyday.
"Well can we please get her back?" Stephanie asks. I can sense the anger in her voice.
"Ummm no," she snaps. She winks at Andreea and she soon disappears, as well.
"Now now," I sigh. "Can we please try to be reasonable?"
"Hmm," she thinks. "No thank you." She snaps and Stephanie disappears. "Sweet nightmares, Sara."
The wind suddenly became super strong and everything turned black.
