•Melodies POV•
I ran into the bathroom, tears still in my eyes. I locked the door behind me because Shane couldn't know what I was about to do. I know that's the first time I ever have called him by his real name. But that's because no one besides daddy(Daniel) right now is being called daddy! I grabbed one of there razor blades and started cutting. My arm was dripping with blood and I heard Shane pounding on the door.
Shane: MELODY OPEN THE DOOR BABY, DON'T DO THIS!!
I made an excuse.
Melody: um, I'm.. er, Washing my face!
Shane: oh,okay sweetie!
my arm had blood all over it. And I just realized that lark and storm were still in my bedroom after they had been kicked!
I pulled down my sleeves and ran out of the bathroom and into my room.
Storm was now up but lark was still laying there on the ground.
Melody: LARK!!!
Shane came running in. I held the tiny puppy in my arms and she started yipping and yapping.
Shane: melody what's- oh I see you remember lark!
Melody: of course! She's my baby puppy!
She started to fall asleep again. Then Shane got a call and I think it's from Joey.
Shane: I'll be right back ok sweetie?
Melody: ok
Shane walked out of the room. And I followed(😏). I listened from the door frame but his back was facing me. He turned it up all the way so I could hear it pretty well. Wait, no dangit!! He turned it down and I can't hear uggghhh. Oh well I'll just ask him later.
•Shane's POV•
Joey was calling me and I had to answer. I was scared. I've learned to love Daniel a lot since I got to know him.
Shane: I'll be right back sweetie.
Melody: ok
I walked out and answered it. I then realized it was turned all the way up. I turned it down mostly so no one else could hear.
Joey: hi Shane um there's something I need to tell you... it's about Daniel.
Shane: yeah, what's wrong?!
Joey: he's...
He started crying and it was hard to understand.
Joey: he's in a coma.
Shane: WHAT?!
Joey: and we don't know when he's gonna wake up.*cries*
Shane: ok I'll be right there.do they let pets into the ER?
Joey: yeah*sniffle* I think so.why?
Shane: because melody will not let go of lark and it's the only thing calming her down right now.
Joey: ok bye love you shaney and I'll see you in a minute.
Shane: ok bye I love you too.
I went back to melodies room.
Shane: melody are you ready to go to the hospital?
Melody: yes.
Shane:Ok come on let's get larks leash and we will go.
Melody: wait we can bring her?!
Shane: yep. Plus you won't let- I mean you love her so much! I lied.
We get into the car and I glance over at melodies wrists that are covered by her hoodie sleeves.
She fell asleep and she looks so peaceful. I reach over and slightly pulled up her sleeves. Her wrists were covered in blood and probably her arms as well. She had been cutting herself. Because of Daniel. She's gonna cut herself even more when she hears about Daniel being in a coma I bet. I can't let her do that. I don't know if I should tell Joey, wait... I will because we don't need to keep secrets from each other.
