In the dark of the night all I could see was shadows moving on the tree tops I heard screams in the distance, I started running away from them but as I was running I heard loud pounds on the ground coming at me and the started to pick up speed coming straight for me. My heart rate spikes at the thought of one of those wolves catching me. It was a blue moon tonight everyone in the village was in high spirits it was supposed to be a celebration full of singing and dancing around the boom fires but now all I can here is screaming.

I pushed my legs to run faster to the point where I couldn't run any more. I ran so far that the screams were fading in the distance I could barely hear them now and the pounding of paws from the wolf that had been chasing me was gone as well. I wiped away the tears with the back of my hand I hadn't even released I was crying until I had stopped from exhaustion. I put my hands on my knees and took a couple deep breaths in and out.

I looked around me there was tall willow trees all around I could hear owls hooting in the distance and crickets chirping.  Then I look up and saw the full blue moon from an opening the trees the moon's light was shining radiantly down on me, it all most felt warm but it was cold as well. Then I heard something moving  in the bushes behind me I started to turn around slowly.

I stumble back at what I saw I was about to run for it but my foot caught on a root in the ground and I fell forward hitting my head on the tree. I shook my head to clear the dizziness and as everything started to clear up I heard a growl, I quickly turnaround and standing before me was a big black wolf with his teeth bearing and saliva dripping from both side of its mouth.

the wolf was growling at me, it's icy blue eyes were staring right me I moved my hands around trying to find something to defend myself with but I never broke the wolfs stare, I was to scare to and I was captivated by his eyes at the same time. The wolf just stood there looking at me not moving at all.  I stop moving my hands as our eyes were still locked in place we stayed like that for about 20 minutes.  I didn't move and neither did the wolf his growling never got louder it was at a mere grumble now.

We both didn't dare move it was as if we were watching and wait for the other to make the first move of attack. Then someone was calling my name in the distance and the wolf lifted his head up and broke the staring contest we were having and ran into the deep bit of trees.  I was still sitting there in shock of what just happened but the yelling got louder so I got up and dusted of my pants "Aria..... Aria...... Where are you."

I ran to the person that was calling my name it was my big brother Aron. "there you are what Happened to you when the wolfs attack the village you were know ware to be found I thought the wolfs had gotten to you" Aaron said in between breaths "no I'm all right I was being chased by one of the wolfs when I started to ran towards the woods" I said then the image of the wolfs icy blue eyes and his sharp white teeth came into my mind and a shiver ran done my spin. When Aaron and I got back to the village it was turned upside down there were a lot injured and two killed it was my father and mother.

My brother and I were devastated when we found him I was crying in my brother's arms as he was trembling with rage hatred at the wolf's who did this but also at himself for letting this happen which just made me cry more. When we looked closer at my father we saw that our mother was under my dad he had probably died first protecting her then she died right after.

I just wanted to locked myself up in my room and cry and hope this was all a dream but I didn't I stay strong for my brother and my village had to my brother was blaming himself for their deaths when there was nothing that he could have done to stop it. Sense my father was the chief of the village my brother took over as chief in his place. Weeks after the incident we all stared to rebuild the village and  I had buried my mom on top of Lily Hill where Lily's of all kind grew the stargazers were my moms favorite as well as mine.

It was my moms and my favorite spot to go to relax and talked to each other. The village buried my father ware all the village's chiefs are bared. It's been two years scene the attack on the village and it's around the time of the attack that had killed my father and mother. So my brother The chief is even more on edge then normal but he has a wife now so that helps keep him relax at least a little. The village has changed a lot as well there is now a giant long widen fence surrounding the whole village, I have to have three bodyguard's with me at all times including when I go see my mom's grave which is outside the fence.

I hate having them with me it's hard to talk to her when I know they can her me. There is a curfew now as well which is even more infuriating but my brother is being very careful he so protect over me since the incident and I get it he wants to keep me safe but it gets on my nerves sometimes.

I still have dreams about the big black wolf with the ice blue eyes just staring at me and I ask my self-everyday why didn't  the wolf just kill me right away.

It's a full moon to night so everyone is on edge because it's not just any full moon it's the blue moon tonight so everyone locks themselves up in their homes it is nothing like it used to be I miss all the dancing and singing and the happy and relaxing atmosphere that I always felt. I miss when everyone would smile and joke around with each other and get drunk off their ass's with the wine.

Now no one makes a sound there is no singing just quiet and you can feel the tension in the air I sighed thinking is this is how it is always going to be.  I am sitting on the bench by my windowsill looking out of it I saw the giant widen fence surrounding the village it was like I was trapped in cage never allowed to leave or to step a foot on the soft wild grass from I just closed my eye imagining the feeling of it remember when I was little the feel of the grass, dirt, and rocks under my feet when I would play hide and  seek with the other kids outside the gates. I shook my head a looked up at Lily hill from above the gates but  I saw a shadow move on top of the hill I couldn't make out what it was but it was close to my mother's grave and I got curious  what is on top of the hill at this time of night  I want to know I got excited and  nervous at the same time I never thought of breaking the rules before but the need to know throw all caution to the wind so I walked out of my room.
