Cray sat silently in his seat as the rest of the class socialized. Believe me, Cray was a social butterfly, practically attracting people attention when he wasn't trying, but he was lost in thought. Lost in thought about a certain kind jock that he'd ran into. Cotton.
"Hey, is this seat taken?" Asked a voice, snapping Cray out of his trance and back into reality. He looked up to see the skeleton the had been filling his thoughts lately. Cotton himself. Cray only shook his head and Cotton sat down. A group of fangirls glared at Cray, but turned back into sweet, innocent, little girls as soon as Cotton looked at them.
"Bipolar..." Cray mumbled aloud, just enough so he thought no one could hear. Cotton looked at him confused, but shrugged it off. Cray decided to try and start a conversation.
"Hey, how's your day going?" Cray asked. Cotton turned to him and smiled.
"Good, though, these girls keep following me around." He said, chucking a thumb at the female monsters behind him. A few fainted, some squealed and others swooned, but it all still seemed so normal to Cray. Like he'd seen it all before. And he had. His other high school as filled with hot guys. but the top dogs were the ones no one messed with. There was Edge, who kinda seemed like an evil Fresh, and his side kick, Paper Cut, but those two are dating. Then there's what everyone calls, Fell! Alphys.
"Good morning class!" Said the teacher, Mrs. Goose, in a sing-song voice. The entire class cringed inwardly at the off-key and horrible singing tone she used every morning she walked in. However, no one in the class would tell her she sang horribly, not since an incident at the beginning of the year that scared the actually fuck out of everyone." OK, we'll be working on a project for the next month."
"What kinda project, Mrs, G?" Asked one of the overly obnoxious jocks that couldn't think for the life of 'em. He had his feet on the desk and was running a hand through his greasy unkempt hair. Cray rolled his eyes and looked back at the teacher expectingly. Mrs. Goose had a look of annoyance on her face.
"Could you please spare the extra second to say my full name for once?" Mrs. Goose snapped back, making him chuckle."Anyway, you'll be working with your partners on (random project). you'll have a month to work on it."
"Guess we're working together." Cotton said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. Cray chuckled, scribbling down his address and phone number on a torn piece of paper. Cray handed it to a slightly blushing Cotton.
"We can meet at my house after school. Call me to change any plans." Cray explained, standing up from his seat as the bell rang, signaling the end of third of period." See ya, Cotton!"
"See ya." Cotton replied, but Cray was already out of the classroom and probably by his locker, considering his over hyperactive personality that made him absolutely adorable. Cotton's face was dusted with a faint blush as he folded the sheet of paper and shoved it in his pocket.
~Later~
"H-Hi, are you new?" Asked a timid voice. As soon as Cray looked up, fear emitted itself through his body. Standing before him was a girl, who looked exactly like the bully jock Alphys, but without the scar right above her left eye. Cray jumped, dropping all his books and letting out a yelp of surprise as one landed on his foot."O-Oh! Are y-you OK?"
"Yeah! You just startled me!" Cray said, flashing her his famous grin. Alphys giggled, blushing red. Cray chuckled, rubbing the back of his skull , before bending down and picking up his belongings." Yeah, I am new."
"I'm friends with F-Fresh." Alphys stuttered. Cray stuck out his hand and winked at her.
"I'm Cray!" Alphys hesitatingly shook his hand, but all he did was smile, so she really didn't have time to look at his eyes. They're disgusting. Cray heard the words bounce around in his skull. Cray could feel tears begin to prick at the edge's of his eyes. He quickly wiped them, excusing himself and waving good-bye to Alphys. The lunch bell rang just as Cray finished putting his things in his locker. He walked out to the court yard to see Fresh sitting with three other monsters. One was Alphys, the girl he'd met in the hallway, there was ghost floating with headphones and a small smile, and then there was a skeleton with red gloves and boots with a brown shirt along with pants.
"Cray! Come here!" Fresh called him over. Cray walked over, smiling all happily. Fresh looked at his brother sternly, which made everyone look at him confusingly, even Cray." whats' wrong?"
"What do you mean?" Cray asked. But he knew his brother could see right through him and his facade. Fresh pulled Cray down to his level and told his friends to give them a minute. They all nodded and left, leaving Cray and Fresh alone in the field.
"What happened?" Fresh growled. Cray sighed and began to broke down in tears, hugging and sobbing into Fresh. After a few minutes, Cray calmed down and Fresh wiped his eyes." Whet happened? I'm worried over you."
"My eyes. They're disgusting and ugly and-"
"Stop. Our eyes are beautiful, but some people won't agree and that's their problem.'" Fresh said, cupping his brother's face and bonking his skull with his. Cray looked into his brothers purple eyes, more directly at his shining upside down heart, his soul, for his eye." We're unique. So, guess what?"
"What?" Cray sniffled, wiping his eyes. Fresh smirked.
"They can fuck themselves." Fresh said, making Cray burst into laughter. Little did they know, Cotton and Paper Jam, who had eventually formed crushes on the two nerds, were listening the entire time.
"D-Do you think their a...a thing?" Cotton asked in a raspy voice, almost as if he had a frog up his throat. PJ glanced at him and shrugged, though you could see the sadness in his eyes.
"Dunno." PJ said." But if they are, we can't exactly break 'em up for stupid selfish reasons."
"I guess." Cotton sighed.
God, he was gonna have a hard getting rid of these feelings.
The End
So, Cotton and Paper Jam are retarded as fuck, Cray and Fresh aren't the proudest, Alphys wants PJ and Fresh together, Papyrus is oblivious, Napstablook was crying for no reason, and i'm trying not to cry, because feels! Brotherly love! So beautiful! OK, OK, Bye~
