Lyra Hemmings, sister of upcoming superstar Luke Hemmings had the good life; perfect friends, perfect family, perfect grades, perfect house, perfect boyfriend. But when her step-brother and his mates Michael, Calum and Ashton decide to form a band, her life turns from perfect to upside-down. When heartbreak strikes and all seems dim maybe taking sometime away from her home in Sydney, Australia would be best for her broken heart. When Luke and his band is given the chance to go on tour with the world famous boy band One Direction, Lyra decides that this is her chance to get away by tagging along.
