Welcome to the Short and Sweet Book Club! I love short stories. Both reading and writing them. I'm guessing that, since you're here reading this, you probably do too.
I thought it would be cool to join a short story book club, but, sadly, I was unable to find any that are active. If I was going to have the club I wished for, I was going to have to create it myself. And so, here we are!
For the most part it will be like any other book club. You'll be paired up with another member to read and comment on each other's short story. But I'm hoping to do a lot more in addition to the normal assignments. I want to make this club more fun and beneficial than just giving you reads and feedback.
Some of the things I'd like us to do with this club:
-Give prompts to inspire members to write new short stories
-Have members write articles and tips on writing short stories (which will be added to this book)
-Have chapters highlighting members' stories
-Have interviews with members so we can get to know each other better and learn about each other's writing processes
If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to leave it in a comment on this chapter and I'll think about using it.
So, those are the basics. I look forward to us all working together and, most importantly, having fun together!
