As serious James Bond fans are aware, before Agent 007 was a secret agent he was a commander of the British Royal Navy. The new Omega Seamaster 300M "Commander's watch" is dedicated to his rank and therefore has been dubbed the "Commander's Watch."
Fittingly, it bears the colors of Great Britain and its navy: the white ceramic dial features blue, skeletonized hour and minute hands and a red second hand, which it enhanced with a stylized "007" logo. The number 7 in the date window is also colored red, while all other numbers are colored blue. Red and blue are also used as the colors in the rotating bezel. One can choose to wear the watch with the matching NATO strap or with a metal bracelet.
The steel case measures 41 mm and holds the Omega Caliber 2507, which powers the watch. This self-winding movement — with its specially designed rotor featuring the 007 logo and three gold stripes — can be viewed through the sapphire caseback. According to Omega, the three gold stripes are inspired by the Commander's naval insignia.
