Luke:

The choosing ceremony is tomorrow and I’m as nervous as ever. Not because of what I’m choosing, I know I’m staying here in Abnegation, I’m born and raised living the selfless ways. I’m more worried about Luke, One of my closest friends. I’m not one to have friends and get close to them but Luke was a different story, I was so attracted to him, his beautiful blue eyes, that amazing jawline, and those lips, I just wanted to kiss them. That is obviously very wrong for me to be thinking, but I just can’t resist the feeling he brings to me whenever I see him. I don’t want him to change factions; I want to stay with him here in Abnegation.

"Hey" I softly say to Luke when I sense his presence from beside me. Luke doesn’t return my greeting instead he stops and replies. "Meet me by the fountain in fifteen minutes" and with that he left. I furrowed my eyes in confusion but obliged and headed in the direction of the fountain I knew he wanted me at. We always went here to sit and think, sometimes exchange a few thought on school or sometimes even what was on our minds.

I arrived at the fountain five minutes early. I sat down in my usual spot and stared down at the brown grass.

Suddenly I felt a touch on my shoulder and I jumped up startled. Once I saw it was only Luke I loosened up a little. He’s never touched me before, not even for a hug when one of us was upset one day.

“I need to tell you something important” he said stepping closer to me. My breath hitched in my throat at his proximity.

I nodded my head for Luke to continue and he lifted his hand and gently moved a piece of hair that had fallen out of my neat bun, lingering at my cheek a little longer. I gulped loudly causing a chuckle from Luke.

He leaned in before I felt his soft lips on my cheek. “I’m not going anywhere, I’m staying here, with you” Luke whispers in my ear.

Michael:

I saw him at the choosing ceremony, from Dauntless to Candor, that’s a big thing isn’t it? I quietly waited for my turn in the chair of doom, or truth but doom seems more fitting. Being born in Candor I’ve seen my fair share of embarrassing thoughts from people under the truth serum.

The next person was Him, Michael Clifford, the name sounds fitting for dauntless but his eyes beg to differ. Every chance I get I’ve taken the opportunity to observe the truth and innocence that hide beneath those olive orbs.

I watched as the needle pierced through his skin, the slight discomfort etched into his face.

He was soon asked a series of questions with ease. It wasn’t until we locked eyes that a mischievous grin formed. “I think y/n is very pretty” he blurted out giggling at the end.

Ashton:

I had just arrived at Amity, I knew I belonged here from the minute I stepped foot through that door of the eating hall. Everything was so happy, cheerful, and perfect for me. Coming from Dauntless seems strange but I knew I didn’t fit in there. I sat down having my first amity meal. It was different from the chaos in Dauntless, so calm and surprisingly healthy. I took another bite of my bread that had strawberry jam spread on it.

I started bobbing my head to a tune I could hear nearby. I looked around to see where the music is coming from, a young boy, another initiate. I stared intently at his fingers doing their magic against the hard wood on the table, making an angelic sound.

"You’re really good" I complemented the boy. He looked up at me and gave me a huge grin.

"Thank you!" He said before holding out his hand that he was using to create the music. "I'm Ashton"

I took his hand in mine and gave it a gentle shake. "Y/n"

"Lovely name you have there, y/n" Ashton complemented with a wink causing the heat to rush to my cheeks.

"Aw, you’re blushing" Ashton giggled, and let me tell you that laugh was all I needed to hear to confirm that I was going to be best friends with Ashton.

Calum:

It was now or never. I was stuck here in the fighting rink preparing myself to fight my best friend Calum. We were initiates here at Dauntless but I wasn’t expecting to have to fight a boy during the initiation.

I circled the area keeping a good eye on my opponent. Who will make the first move, someone had to, and there had to be a winner and loser. I knew this wasn’t going to be easy, whoever loses gets put lower down on the leader board, they made this out to be all a game, but I wasn’t ready to leave. I strike Calum behind the knees hoping to knock him to the ground and get this done quickly and painless. Calum grabbed my leg mid-air and pulled me to the ground.

"You're gonna have to try harder than that" Calum looked me down as I lay there in pain. But I wasn’t going to let him do that to me; make me look like such a coward.

"You want harder Hood?" I cocked an eyebrow as I slowly rose to my feet. "I’ll give you harder"

I quickly swung my arm knocking him hard in the face, sure to leave a bruise. Calum stumbled back and gave me an evil stare. He quickly charged at me pulling my arm so I stumbled into his grasp.

"You'll pay for that babe" He hissed. I quickly escaped from his arms and used my leg attack again this time succeeding in knocking him to the ground. I climbed on top on Calum giving him a cheeky smirk before leaning down and gently kissing the area I hit early. I stared him in the eyes and to his lips completely forgetting about the onlookers. I leaned in and pressed my lips firmly against his before quickly pulling away, just to tease.

"We will finish this later" Calum winked before getting off the ground and walking out of the arena.
