A ghastly wind of autumn is everywhere, as I drive my way to my uncle's home town where I will spend the rest of my high school. My parents are busy as ant, and my uncle suggested that I will stay with them while I study at high school, leaving everything at my home town, Tokyo. My father is a former CIA, and now, an author of different genre of books, but what I love on his works are the detective fictions he writes. My mom is a former FBI agent, but retires when I came in their life, she now owned a publication company, the two of them is in London where they reside as they do their work. Many people mistaken my mother as a model, because of how young she looks.

My Uncle is a Superintendent of the Osaka Police Force. And to my surprise, my uncle is like a mountain of man, he can even compare to a NBA basketball player.

Suddenly, a call disturbs me, I look on my smartphone that is placed on the cellphone handle in my windshield.

Calling...

Uncle Giant

I put my wireless earphone and answer the call.

"Yes, Uncle?"

"Where are you?" he asked sternly on the other line.

"I'm on my way now, why?"

"Your Aunt Rebeca wants you to go straight to the house, she wants you to join her on a banquet, held at her friend's house"

To my irritation I sighed loudly. Aunt Rebeca is like a circus clown wearing her colorful dresses along with her, clown like make-up, which sometimes, oh scratch that every time, annoys me.

"Come on, Livie, your Aunt misses you, it's not like she sees you every day, unlike me, I can visit you in your house every time I came to Tokyo for some cases." He said to the other line, almost pleading.

"Fine, I'll go, but I'm not going to wear those colorful dresses, ever again" I grump.

And my uncle let out a chuckle, "Ok I'll tell her. By the way, fetch some cake on your way, I'm sure she'll love it."

"Red velvet cake with mango toppings" I said.

"Yeah. Thank you, be safe. bye" and he ended the call.

My Uncle's name is Takashi Mellvore, he and my father are siblings. We have a British blood, that is why, my surname is Mellvore.

He and my Aunt Rebeca, don't have a child, that is why they treat me like their own, and that is what I'm thankful for.

I stop my car, in front of the pastry shop, where my aunt and I buy cakes, while I spend my summer vacation with them.

Osaka Pastry

As I open the shop's door, the bell of it rang at the same time, and the owner's face beam in a bright smile as soon as her eyes landed on me.

"Olivia, I almost didn't recognize you my dear, look at how you've grown." She said in her kansai dialect. "Are you here for vacation?"

"No, I'm here for the cake."

"Oh, of course" she said almost stammered on my philosophical answer. And I gave her a smile.

"My parents told me to continue my studies here, and to my shock my Uncle agreed."

"Oh, I heard from your Aunt that you are coming. But she didn't say any reason." She answered while fetching the red velvet cake with mango top. As soon as she is holding the cake and placed it on the counter top, I noticed some red substance in her hands.

"Are making a strawberry Choco cake?" I asked and to her shocked she looked at me with her amazed face.

"How did you know my dear?"
