The Unwanted

chapter 1- adopted by, WHAT?

I stood in front of my broken mirror, looking at my appearance, one white and one black ear and my black tail, no one knows that I am Neko, while maybe one girl, she got me on the wrong day and while the cat stretched back. From that day, I now get bullied everyday. I sighed, as my tail wrapped around my waist, it was like a hug, the only comfort I have in this hell hole. Footsteps rang up the stair, I covered my ears, at the sound. I quickly closed my eyes, thinking about my tail and ear melting away, opening them again they were gone. I was dressed in my favourite t-shirt and skirt ( picture above).

My white door opened, a middle aged lady popped her head in and smile, she owns this orphanage and I remember her telling me her name was Jill, she had her brown hair in a bun and looked tired. 

"come on, there are some people on there way here to maybe adopted" Jill said in a happy and excitably voice.I cringed, her voice was too happy, why would anyone want to adopted me, just a freak. 

" why, I am never going to get a adopted" I mumbled, as I walked pasted her, earning a playful clip around the ear, thank god my cat ears went out, the damage that would have been done, just unthinkable. I decided to go down the stairs anyway, because I was bored out of my mind and just to see the sad sop that would be getting adopted today. 

Lining up with the other children, I get glares from most of them, I kept my head down finding the ground more interesting. The main door opened, the hair on my of my neck stood up, this isn't good, I fiddle with my shirt. I could hear three sets of footsteps coming my way and whispers throughout the line of children. 

" These two young gentlemen who like to adopted one of you lovely children" Jill said to us.

All the children went away to do there own actives, I walked to the corner and sat down, on the cold floor, shadows covered me, I looked up to see my bullies and the one girl who knew my secret. Lovely, I thought to myself, waiting for the insults.

" Freak, why did you even come down, no one wants you" the ring leader spoke, I hissed bearing my pointy teeth at them, which just made them laugh.

"Look at the Freak, she thinks she is a cat" 

" Go away or else" I said, my eyes turned a forest green. Their mouth were wide open, shocked from what they have just seen. I just smirked, when I felt my eyes return back to their normal colour.

" what is wrong?" I asked, concerned, at there lack of movement.

" Demon" They all yelled and backed away, leaving me alone.

But it wasn't for long until my peace was invaded.

" These men would like to adopted you, isn't that great " Jill said with a happy clap of her hands. My eyes widen, what the hell is going off, I thought as I nearly forgot to breath, why would anyone want me.
