Twilight of the Broken Stars

"Have you ever seen stars at twilight?" Larexion (La-Rex-Shi-On) inquired, with wide eyes that were beaming with curiousity while we were resting on a ginormous rock side by side before resuming our journey.

"Hah, don't tell me you believe in those myths, Rex. I thought you were better than that." I snorted back. She was so naive, even Spongebob would lose to her. Rex looked at me with big small eyes.

"Oh puh-lease, you know you believe it too. They say that the stars--" "The stars represent love and sadness, and will give the person who saw it good luck." I cut her off while stuffing a piece of salmon bread into my mouth. That food is super delicious.

Rex gave me an okay-Mr.-I-know-everything-I-get-it look. "How did you know about the Twilight Stars? And you do know I hate salmon bread right or are you doing that on purpose? That thing is so gooey and stinky!" She looked at me with disgust as she covered her nose to block away the so called "stench".

"Don't force your opinions on other people, Rexy-boo." I grinned while taking another bite in slow motion. "Mmmmm it tastes SO good! Too bad you're missing out on this, Rexy-boo. You're gonna love it if you'd have a taste of it." I took in another bite, closing our gap and our face just inches away from each other. My eyes locked to Rex's beautiful red and purple mixed eyes. Just her stare can make me go haywire. I was sure my heart pounded like a machine gun shooting bullets.

Thank God for making humans to be only able to detect sound at 20000 hertz.

She broke off our eye contact rather awkwardly. "No, thank you. I'd rather eat dirt than eat that gooey thing that always gets stuck on your teeth and makes your mouth smelly." Rex chortled back humorously while pushing me away. Why am I not surprised.

She has always been in love with someone else, which is Droite. Being the Fethano Academy's most handsome and powerful magician, he has all the qualities of bad boys in high school.

Qualities of a Bad Boy:

a) Has a mesmerizing smirk

b) Deep and seducing voice

c) Has THE most rotten attitude

d) Has a golden hoop earring on one of his ears

Yes, Rex finds guys with a guy with a hooped earing on either side of his ears hot. She is weird but I like her that way.

Yes, I can't make it anynore obvious. I love her.

But is it vice versa? No, because she fell in love with my best friend. It breaks my heart how Droite treats her, but at the same time, I'm happy because he's not paying attention to Rex, which means I still have hope. Yay me.

"Haha, it takes skills to eat like a pro, Rex. It's a talent that I posses and you don't.  Be jealous, be very jealous." I teased. But she wasn't laughing. She put on a serious face looking straight and was standing up, her hands outstreched and with a glow and spark of ruby red light, she summoned her scythe. I raised a brow and looked to the direction she was facing.

Ah.

"Looks like we have party poopers." I said amusingly.
