Nova sighed for the fourth time that morning. Renesmee had been asking (begging) the older vampire to come with her to visit her grandfather, Charlie.

The red headed immortal didn't want to impose on her niece spending time with her family, but Renesmee was insistent.

"Please Nova, pleaseee." Renesmee begged, currently clinging to the older woman's leg in a very koala like fashion.

"Fine." The vampire finally give in, grinning when Renesmee squeaked happily.

The hybrid got up, hugged the taller woman around the waist before speeding away, most likely to tell Jacob or her parents the news.

Nova sighed, lightly tugging on her red curls before turning and grabbing a jacket. Though she didn't need one obviously, appearances were still everything.

The older vampire smiled at Bella and Jacob who looked up at her approach.

"Finally wore you down I see." Jacob teased with a friendly smirk and Nova rolled her now blue eyes, having put contacts in to hide the red.

"Like you have any room to talk." Nova retorted with a smile before sitting in the passenger seat.

In the car the four made idle chat for a while, Nova only commenting when it's necessary until her family were brought up.

"Come on, Dracula one and two are creepy." Jacob stated and Nova snorted in amusement.

"Watch your mouth Black, they might look old but they'd just as easily make you go running with your tail between your legs." Nova stated confidently, smirking as she looked in the rear view mirror.

The rest of the journey consisted of banter between the immortal and the shapeshifter, while the mother and daughter added something every now and then.

When they finally arrived at Charlie's house now exited the car and saw the confused look on Charlie's face.

"Hi, I'm Nova Cullen, Edwards my cousin and I'll be staying with them for a time." Noah stated, reciting what the Cullen's had told her to say flawlessly.

"It's great to meet you Nova." Charlie greeted gruffly and Nova smiled kindly at him.

"Nova's going to be spending the day with us." Renesmee told excitedly, smiling at the red head. Nova smiled back at her niece.

The red heads eyes flickered to her sister in law, she knew the mother had something planned but she didn't know what. Nova watched as the woman drove away, turning to grin at Renesmee as she took her into the house.

After spending several hours at the Swan residence Bella returned with a crestfallen look adorning her features. The older vampire decided to not comment on it until they had gotten back to the Cullen's.

As soon as they did Nova laid her hand on the newborns forearm, gently leading her away from prying ears.

"What happened when you left Bella?" Nova asked gently, not bothering to pay much attention to the young vampires stuttered lie.

"You don't have to lie to me, Aro can't get in my head." Nova said, then pretending she didn't see the curious look in Bella's eyes before she spoke.

"I received passports for you, Jacob, and Renesmee." Bella muttered sadly and Nova immediately pieced together the plan.

"You don't have to worry Bella, I'll keep her safe." Nova informed, smiling at the new mother reassuringly before turning and entering the house.

( hey guys I'm sorry I haven't been updating recently. I've had really bad writers block as of late, as well as the fact that I've been having some depression issues that I don't feel like getting into.

because of this I've decided to go on a semi hiatus, I won't stop updating all together, but I'm just going to focus on writing what I want without feeling pressured to update. )
